Letter to Eleonora and Chantal Dear Eleonora and Chantal, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the yacht charter experience in Mykonos, during the period from 26 to 29 August. I have been in Mykonos since 23 August, which I informed Eleonora upon my arrival. There was ample time to notify me in advance about adverse weather conditions that could affect the cruise. As is well known, strong-wind systems in the Cyclades are not a last-minute surprise; reliable bulletins indicate such conditions several days ahead. Even so, I received no prior notice or alternative proposal to reorganize my plans before the charter began. As a consequence, over the three contracted days, I had only half a day of actual cruising. On the following days we remained moored in locations without suitable swimming spots, and no alternatives or solutions were offered, despite there having been, up to that point, no official notice prohibiting navigation. The impact was not merely practical; it was above all on the leisure time of a family under significant work demands who expected to make the most of these vacation days. Yesterday, for example, I was on board with my children, my son-in-law, and my daughter-in-law; everyone ended up bored because we remained stationary without a nearby beach and without any proposal to move to a beach club or another leisure option. The information that we would not be able to leave was not communicated clearly or in advance—not even today; I only learned it after pressing for an answer. The total amount of approximately R$ 88,000, including food and beverage provisioning, makes the situation even harder to accept. The provisioning was disproportionate and will result in substantial waste—something I never imagined could happen in a service of this kind. I also have a recent prior experience with Click&Boat in the Ligurian Sea, where the service was exemplary. There, I had direct access to the captain, who discussed the menu with me and adjusted the provisions rationally, without excess and with full transparency. The contrast with Mykonos is stark: here, I had no contact with the captain, receiving information only through Eleonora who, while polite, could not substitute the office’s responsibility to ensure clear communication and an experience consistent with the standard expected for a charter of this nature. In light of all this, I ask that you assess this situation with seriousness and honesty, as the service delivered fell well short of what was promised and sold. To be clear, I do not believe there was any intention to take financial advantage of me. What truly stands out to me is the lack of care and sensitivity toward the client. These were my family holidays with my children, my son-in-law, and my daughter-in-law—precious days that could have been devoted to leisure and joy—but which were taken from me by the absence of attention. At no point did I feel looked after; on the contrary, I felt treated merely as a commercial case, without the dedication and care one would reasonably expect. I trust you will provide a fair review of what occurred, recognizing the losses and the frustration caused by an experience that did not correspond to what was contracted. Sincerely, Daniela Piau de Lima Maitelli and Family
