Rent a boat in Croatia with Click&Boat

The beautiful country of Croatia is perhaps one of the most sought-after European destinations for a sailing holiday, and with good reason! This Adriatic pearl is home to over 1000 islands and stunning landscapes decorated with sandy beaches, rugged mountain terrain and dense forests. There are so many places to see and when you rent a boat in Croatia, you can see them all. Cruise through the Dalmatia region and see Split, Croatia’s second-largest city as well as neighbouring islands like Brač, Hvar, Lastovo, Trogir and Vis. Game of Thrones fans will find themselves fawning over the medieval city of Dubrovnik, much of which has been featured in the famous series.

But Croatia is so much more than just Dalmatia! Istria, in the north, despite being a lesser-known region, has a wealth of riches for you to witness. Explore the Brijuni Islands and discover the beautiful Roman remains of Pula, Poreč or Rovinj. The Istrian peninsula is just opposite Venice and if you have time, you could even go there! With a yacht charter in Croatia, the possibilities are endless, what are you waiting for? Plan your sailing escape in Croatia and have the holiday of a lifetime.

How much does it cost to charter a yacht in Croatia?

At Click&Boat we’ve got a large number of private yacht charters in Croatia. The cost of a Croatia boat rental will vary depending on the city, the type and size of vessel and how many people are on board. Below are some average prices by boat type.

Yacht charter with 6 cabins in Croatia

The average price of a vessel with 6 cabins on board is €11,500/week in the high season and €2,700/week in the low season for up to 12 people.

What is included in the cost?

The cost will cover the usage of the vessel for the duration of the charter. An additional payment will be required for the fuel and an estimation can be provided by the boat owner before you embark. The essential safety equipment will be included. Some boats in our fleet provide food and beverage and other provide water sports activities if want to dive or snorkel!

What are the extra expenses when chartering a yacht?

Paying the for the vessel is only one part of the overall price for a yacht charter in Croatia. Most of the time the cost of fuel is not included in the price and some vessels such as motorboats use a lot of fuel, so it is an important factor to consider. You also have to think about whether or not you want to add insurance to your booking in case of bad weather or necessary cancellation as well as any possible damages to the boat. Of course, the other things to consider are food, water and money for docking the vessel.

What can you see and do on a boat rental in Croatia?

There is so much cultural and natural beauty to see in Croatia which makes planning a trip there so difficult because it can be hard to narrow it down! But not to worry, here is a list of some of our favourite things to do while on a yacht rental in Croatia.

• Tour the Plitvice Lakes National Park, the oldest and largest in the country! While there you can see lush vegetation, exquisite waterfalls and many species of animals.

• Discover the Kornati National Park and sample 89 different islands with exceptional flora and fauna. While there you can swim and snorkel in crystal clear waters, or exercise your sea legs and hike along the trails.

• Hike to the legend-worthy Odysseus Cave, which was the basis for Homer’s epic. Start with the town of Babino Polje and then when you hike to the cliff edge you can jump and swim in the water!

• Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the old towns of Split and Dubrovnik.

• Go kayaking, snorkelling and paddle boarding in the Blue Lagoon, only 15 minutes from the heritage city of Trogir.

You won’t be disappointed cruising around this incredible country, so book a dream yacht charter in Croatia today!

What is the best time to rent a boat in Croatia?

The best time to seek a yacht rental in Croatia is between May and September when you’ll have warm temperatures and little to no precipitation. For the hottest weather, you should visit in July when you’ll have highs of 27°C. However, be aware that the prices of yacht charters at this time will be very high, since it is the high season, and crowds will also be quite dense. To avoid larger crowds and save some money, we recommend visiting at the tail ends of the high tourist season, such as in May or September.

However, if you have little sailing experience, we suggest visiting in the summer when the westerly breeze, the Bora, blows strongly enough to move your vessel but also remains calm enough to allow you to relax, swim and have a unique holiday. During the balmy summer nights, you can even sleep on the terrace instead of in the cabins and enjoy the breeze and the view!

Boat rental in Croatia with a skipper!

If you don’t have a licence to sail but you’re looking to embark on a boat trip, you can! At Click&Boat we have a large fleet of yacht charters in Croatia with a skipper on board, so you can sail the way you want to. Even if you have a licence, there are many benefits to having a skipper present. If you’re after an all-inclusive boat rental in Croatia, you can get it with a skipper! They are nautical experts that handle everything out on the water, and help you tick off the sights on your itinerary.

The best part about having a skipper on board is getting the opportunity to connect with a local who can give you advice about where to go and what to do while in Croatia. If you’re lucky, they might even show you a few things about navigating the water and let you take the helm! It’s true that a boat rental with a skipper is typically more expensive than one without, but the extra cost is well worth it for a personalised getaway. What are you waiting for? Opt for a yacht charter in Croatia with a crew and discover worry-free sailing at its finest!

If you are searching for a bareboat charter, simply apply the “without a skipper” filter to search for available vessels in our fleet. Proof of requisite experience such as a sailing license or certification may be required by the owner.

What type of boat is best for a Croatia yacht charter?

Are you having trouble deciding which type of yacht to rent in Croatia? First, you should think about the length of time you plan to spend on board. If you only want to sail for a few days, we recommend a daily charter such as a motorboat or a RIB, which will go fast and allow you to see everything you want in no time. If you plan to spend a longer time on the water, we recommend a luxury yacht charter in Croatia such as a yacht or a catamaran. These spacious vessels can be rented by the week and include all of the amenities you’ll need for a pleasant stay. Avid sailors might be keen on chartering a sailboat, which will certainly give you an authentic sailing experience, but they aren’t recommended if you get seasick easily!
