More than 2700 berths are available in Antibes between the Vauban port, the Port de la Salis, the Port Gallice, the Port du Croûton and the Abri de l'Olivette, which takes you back in time.

Take advantage of your holiday in Antibes to sail around the sea, taking the time to explore the many cute creeks in the area. To avoid the hordes of tourists in the summer or to find the best anchorages in the area, opt for a boat rental with skipper;

With a sailboat or catamaran, you can go to Mandelieu la Napoule and Saint-Laurent-du-Var, or head for the Golden Islands on the edge of the Giens peninsula: Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Ile du Levant, or go to Saint-Tropez or Cannes and its famous Croisette. Discover the Cap d'Antibes, a little corner of paradise for lovers of the Mediterranean sea;

Our other favourite spots on the French Riviera:

What to do in Antibes?

Antibes is also known for its many events in summer and for its famous beaches, especially in Juan-les-Pins. In this pretty southern town, enjoy walks along the ramparts of the old town, including the Promenade Amiral-de-Grasse, a very charming stroll along the sea.

In addition, you can moor at the Vieux-Port and the newer Port Vauban, which is home to luxurious and beautiful yachts. Renting a yacht allows, for a day or a few days, to experience exceptional moments.

In the Château Grimaldi, which dominates the skyline, you can observe a small but beautiful collection of the famous Picasso or visit theMuseum of Archaeology. Close to the ramparts is the famous Place du Safranier, the heart of the city. Also stroll through the old quarters passing under the old arches or have lunch or dinner in the charming restaurants of the city and enjoy the fruit and vegetable markets.

Where to sail from Antibes?

Renting a boat in Antibes will be the best opportunity to discover or rediscover the most beautiful places on the French Riviera :

  • Mandelieu-la-Napoule: in the heart of the Côte d'Azur, Mandelieu-la-Napoule is lodged between Saint-Tropez and the border of Italy, between two massifs: the Esterel and the Tanneron. This place offers an idyllic setting to all the yachtsmen who call there.
  • Saint-Laurent-du-Var : this seaside resort nestled next to Nice, in the famous Baie des Anges, is the perfect place to enjoy water activities such as jet-skiing or diving.
  • Les îles d'Or (or îles d'Hyères): off the coast of Hyères and more precisely the Giens peninsula, the Ile du Levant, Port-Cors and Porquerolle, form one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the Mediterranean. On these islands, nature is omnipresent and the landscapes are breathtaking. You can drop anchor in the Anse du Bon Renaud or the Anse du Parfait.
  • Saint-Tropez: known mainly for its jet-setters, Saint-Tropez is nonetheless a town with historical charm. The most beautiful place in Saint-Tropez to anchor? The Cap Taillat: you can anchor on either side.
  • Cannes and the Lérins Islands: the archipelago of the Lérins Islands is one of the key places in the Bay of Cannes. Its identity and charm attract many boaters each year. The best anchorage is between the two largest islands: Saint-Honorat and Sainte-Marguerite.

This is a beautiful area to sail. The bays around the Cap and the Isles are wonderful and it can be interesting to boat close to the large yaghts and experience their enourmous size!

The harbor is well laid out, easy to navigate, and nicely located for day trips out to the islands or toward Eze/Cap Ferrat. There is easy [paid] parking for visitors. The old town with its restaurants and bars is a 5 minute walk. On the negative side, in busy periods the petrol station can run out of fuel on Sunday evenings which is annoying.

Highly recommend renting a boat in Antibes as the beaches are crowded! Best to have a skipper who is local and who can show you around the local spots. We had a nice time out at the islands, and would recommend heading there to post up for an afternoon (although they can get crowded).
