As we did not know much about this region, discovering the Erdre was a pleasant surprise. We particularly loved the northern section of the river, between Nort sur Erdre and the confluence with the Brest Canal. The river is much narrower here, so not practical for sailing but great for exploring the banks at low speed. Marina services in Nort, however, were rather basic - much better in Suce sur Erdre.
