Where can you sail from Corfu?

Located just north of Corfu Town, Kalami is a natural first stop on your holiday. It was originally a fishing village, as you can see from all the authentic restaurants serving traditional Greek food. The Kalami Gulf is surrounded by beautiful countryside and Kalami beach is an idyllic place to take a dip. The bay is also sheltered from north-westerly winds, making it an ideal place to anchor.

Sivota is a beautiful coastal community located just east of the southern tip of Corfu. Although the harbour has been updated with the latest facilities, it still retains its ancient charm. Just outside the town are the Sivtoa Islands, which are popular islands to moor at, due to the relaxing atmosphere on offer there. If you are travelling with children, the water park in Monastery bay is also recommended.

Paxos & Antipaxos

The islands of Paxos and Antipaxos are located just south of Corfu and are two Mediterranean gems not to be missed! Sparsely populated and rich in natural life, the islands are popular destinations for sailors seeking a more relaxed and isolated destination. On Antipaxos, you'll find lovely walking trails that take you past vineyards and olive groves where you might come across flocks of sheep enjoying the sun. Lakka Bay on Paxos is ideal for anchoring as it is full of beautiful beaches.

The peaceful fishing village of Petriti is located on the eastern side of Corfu and is one of the few destinations on the island with a sandy beach. The shallow, calm waters of the village's beach are also perfect for snorkelling, kayaking, and stand up paddleboarding. When it comes to food, one of the seaside tavernas is recommended, serving fish straight from the sea to your table.

Mandraki Port

Mandraki Port is idyllically located by an old Venetian fort! To get in and out of the harbour, cross a large bridge over the moat of the fort. During the day you can enjoy sunbathing and swimming at one of the many nearby beaches. Or why not check out Corfu town which is right next door.

In addition to exploring Corfu and nearby islands and coastal communities, you can also check out other destinations where Click&Boat has boats:

Charter a yacht in Corfu

Corfu is located in the west of Greece so if you want to sail through the Ionian Sea, chartering a yacht in Corfu is the best possible choice you can make. The impressive coastline, beaches with golden sand or white pebbles, and rocky beaches, will satisfy even the most demanding tourist. The east coast offers calm waters for swimming and rich seabed for exploring. The northeast side is known for its deep bottom, while the southeast side has shallow waters, sandy beaches, and tavernas on the coast. If you are taking a vacation with family and kids, you should go to Dasia, calm but definitely not boring, is a village in the north part of the island. The town of Corfu is also one of the main attraction on the island. The historical center with medieval fortresses and walls is categorized as a monument of the world heritage by UNESCO. Unique architecture is influenced by Venice, the French, and the British who ruled the island for centuries. The most famous locations in Corfu are the main square, the Esplanade or Spianada, Ionian Academy, Liston building, Palace of St. Michael and St. George, Ahileon, Kanoni peninsula and the old and the new fortress. After exploring the city, we highly recommend you to find the monastery from the 12th century in the region Paleokastritsa. In addition to being valuable as a place to see, the rumor says that in this monastery, monks produce the best olive oil and white wine in Corfu; so if you decide to buy these products in Corfu, make sure it is from them. In addition, every year in Corfu are held competitions in sailing, so don't hesitate to rent a boat on Click&Boat and check your sailing skills in the beautiful Ionian Sea.

Corfu by yacht

The small islands that surround Corfu offer peace and quiet to its visitors, so don't miss this opportunity and charter a yacht and explore the beautiful Ionienne archipelago. The nearest islands are Paxos, Antipaxos, Lefkada, Ithaca, Kefalonia, and Zakynthos. Paxos and Antipaxos are often listed as two of the best kept secrets of Europe, because mass tourism there is not present. Coming to the channel in between Corfu and Paxos, you will be able to view the turquoise colour of the sea, and also enjoy the silhouette of the island of rich olive trees and other Mediterranean vegetation. If you decide to navigate with your boat and visit Lefkada, be sure to visit Porto Katziki beach and see why it was named as one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. Another family destination is Ithaca, which is known as the birthplace of Homer's hero Odysseus, and perfect place for all lovers of peace and quiet vacations who want to enjoy natural and cultural beauty.

Wherever you decide to go to with your rented yacht, we hope Click&Boat will have contributed to you having the best time of your life!
