What is there to discover in Lefkada?

Situated in the island's northern part, Lefkada town is the island's capital. Its charming streets and vistas show its intriguing history and remarkable resilience. Following a devastating earthquake in 1953, the town underwent meticulous reconstruction based on its original plans, blending old-world charm and modern amenities.

The town boasts a state-of-the-art marina capable of accommodating 600 boats, catering to the needs of seafaring enthusiasts. A bustling harbour and a scenic waterfront promenade are great for leisurely walks. There are numerous restaurants and taverns where one can relish delectable cuisine. During the day, explore the pedestrian zone that leads to the central square, Agios Spyridon. The square serves as a vibrant hub of activity, where locals and tourists gather to enjoy the lively atmosphere.

The most beautiful beaches of Lefkada

There are many beautiful beaches to visit when you rent a boat in Lefkada. Our first recommendation is the stunning Milos beach. Although reaching this sandy paradise requires a small hike along the coast from Agios Nikitas, the effort is worth it. You will be rewarded with breathtaking views as you traverse the coastal trail. You can also reach the beach with your Lefkada yacht rental.

If you're looking for a family-friendly beach, Kathisma is an ideal choice. Its well-appointed amenities and facilities ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all. The beach is equipped with bars and taverns, and on-site rentals of umbrellas and sunbeds allow visitors to relax and soak up the sun in comfort.

Last but certainly not least, no visit to Lefkada would be complete without exploring the captivating beauty of Egremni Beach. With its pristine waters and surroundings, Egremni Beach boasts conditions reminiscent of the renowned Caribbean shores.

Which islands can you visit around Lefkada?

Lefkada is a gateway to many nearby islands. Rent a yacht in Lefkada and set a course towards Corfu. As you navigate the sparkling waters, you will be captivated by the beauty of the Ionian Sea.

These islands exude a sense of authenticity, allowing you to immerse yourself in their unspoiled beauty while relishing in the serenity that comes with being off the beaten path.

For those seeking a slightly larger island to explore, take your Lefkada boat hire to Kefalonia, which beckons with its picturesque villages and breathtaking mountain panoramas. Amazing island with one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece! We stayed in different area. The best were Lazarrata where you can feel unforgettable vibe of authentic Greek village in mountains. Also we absolutely fell in love with Vassiliki. If you’ll be around check out the Βελουχι taverns with live music!

Great location for nice and easy sailing with short distance between destinations. Marina is well suited in the midddle of all adjacent destinations and in a waliking distance from the town of Lefkas with a lot of available services few meters away of the berthing position of the yacht

It was 14th of August what did I expect? 1,5hour trafficjam to get to the island via the drawbridge... But it was well worth it. This is a fantastic area to sail. There are little islands and bays everywhere and the tiresome Aegean meltemi is absent. Every afternoon there is a steady wind, great for sailing passages. Coves and bays everywhere with turqoise waters, little fishing villages with precious little space to moor on the dock, you usually set anchor nearby and cast a long landline to keep you steady. The bigger towns have sufficient mooring spaces and some provide water, fuel, AC power and Wifi! I totally recommend Meganisi and Ithaca for at least three days of your week. Nights are usually calm and you can stay in the little bay you just discovered overnight, no hassle. Of course during August there are many others doing the same thing so I recommend booking late June or July for less sea and land traffic.
