Murray Peterson — Goleta. Diseño Único (1952)

Description of Jaime's sailboat
Sailboat Murray Peterson Goleta. Diseño Único 20.24m.
The Bella Lola is a classic schooner built in 1952, 20 metres in length and the deck longer still, by 4,5 metres wide. It is not a luxury boat or a boat which is easily to sail. It’s a homage to the sea and sailing. An esthetic and sporting experience, in which the objective is to forget about the city, the daily problems and to submerge yourself in the true essence of sailing. With almost two trips around the world under its belt, it’s a boat with a fascinating history, which has been an inspiration for many of those that have sailed with her. From the brother of Ernest Hemingway – who commissioned it – to the Adams family, who travelled round the world in it, to various advertising producers who have chosen to film on it. For the first time in almost 70 years, The Bella Lola is available to the public to rent and enjoy. An unforgettable experience, that is much more than just spending your holidays on a boat. * Features: Model and Measurements Model: motorboat with schooner rig. Two masts; foremast and mainmast. The schooner travelled the world captained by a woman accompanied only by her children, the oldest of whom was 19 when they started the trip. These are only some of the details of the long history of the classic sailboat which is now at your disposition. 1998, La Bella LolaIn 1998 the schooner was in a state of semi-ruin. It was then that Luis Pérez-Solero, lover of the sea and classic sailing found it. He defined it as the boat he had wanted, and seeing that both had been born in the same year – 1952 – he decided to give the marvellous boat a second chance. Taking it to the prestigious shipbuilders of Vatasa, specialists in classic carpentry and restauration. An ample renovation was carried out on all the damaged parts, always respecting the design, ideas and original materials. It was in this moment that it was decided to change the name to The Bella Lola : a name given for a mix of personal reasons and as a homage to the famous Havanna song of the same name. Since then it travelled around the Mediterranean for more than 20 years. He still remains the owner of The Bella Lola and its greatest admirer. The Harbor - La Manga La Manga of The Menor Sea is a stretch of land that separates two seas. The Menor Sea is a small sea, without waves and is very calm. The Mediterranean Sea is larger and has more beaches, although it is more open. Both have small islands, in which the boat can stop to eat in the middle of the sea, or sunbathe. Also you can go onshore onto the islands or whichever of many local beaches. A small dinghy is available for going ashore. The experience is adapted to the client, who will have at their disposition all year round a captain and sailor to sail the boat, visit the local islands and beaches or to enjoy the sunset. Of course, the captain will give you recommendations and will adapt to your needs and tastes. The docking cost is always included there, but the renter will have to pay for the docking if they want to stop in other ports. If you would like to rent the boat in another part of the coast or in The Balearic Islands, contact us and depending on the distance and circumstances, we will try to offer the lowest price or for free, if possible.
