After entering a marina and stepping onto land you will find yourself on an island bursting with history and culture and countless ways to spend you time here. We recommend spending your mornings in Chora if you visit this town, the main town on Mykonos, as you will be protected from the midday sun and be able avoid the crowds also. Then why not head to one of the island's famous lighthouses? Make sure you also make a visit to 'Little Venice' too with its vibrantly coloured seafront houses now occupied by restaurants and bars. Be sure to book a table if you plan on eating here in the evening though as it soon fills up! Matoyianni street is the busiest in Mykonos for a reason - the shops here are stunning and sell items from cheap souvenirs right up to luxury goods. If you fancy soaking in some sun then head to Paradise beach or Agrari beach. But whilst you are on Mykonos make sure you try out some of the local seafood - traditional Greek seafood is something the area is famous for.

When is the best time to visit Mykonos?

The best time to visit Mykonos is different for everyone. As with the rest of the Mediterranean, the area sees a busy summer period, or 'high-season', where tourists flood the streets and beaches are full. But a boat charter in Mykonos is a great way to avoid the crowds. You can enjoy the views of the island from a different angle, still enjoy the streets in the morning when they are quieter and take your yacht charter to the more secluded beaches to avoid the crowds. The weather is hottest from June to September and this time of year the waters are heavenly to swim in. May and October are still quite warm too but you may find that a few shops and restaurants close during this time - but that's ok because you will find that hotels are much cheaper during this period too.

We spent very little time in Mykonos so I cannot leave a thorough review, the port was nice though and easy access to board the ferry when it was time to leave.

Beautiful island, with lot's to see and do. Populated mostly with young people but not only. Touristic utilities can be a little costly and tourist traps are around, so one should do a little research and window-shop before buying anything. The weather is amazing, nice islands around. A stay should be between 48H to 1W.
