Rent the beautiful 34' Ericson for a lovely day of sailing. The Ericson 34 looks and sails like a big boat. Of course, with an LOA of 34 feet, 10 inches, it's pretty close to being 35 feet anyway. Bruce King has always designed graceful boats that just seem to look right in the water, and the 34 is one of his best efforts. Most who see her sailing or enjoy her high headroom and spacious interior layout swear she has to be a 38'. When assured she really is 34.10, have often heard she has more room than most boats up to 40. The proportions are moderate, from the amount of sheer and freeboard to the ballast, displacement and sail area numbers. The masthead sloop rig supports just about 600 square feet of sail area and this can be powered up with a genoa. The 5 foot 4" wing keel helps the boat track well to weather and the balanced rudder provides excellent steering on deep reaches. This boat can carry up to 8 guests and sleeps 6 making it extremely versatile! Enjoy the picturesque sceneries that San Fran has to offer aboard this beautiful Ericson. Overall a very nice experience. Great boat for sailing. A few items need repair I think.... although got the chart unit to work. Organisation good.... although getting an email 8hrs before arrival about checking competence after all information sent in well beforehand not helpful. Maybe just Mary to handover the boat as well. A summary of the key functions on a single sheet would be helpful as well as manual has too much in it to read over in a short time. Mooring lines could be a bit longer. Maybe lights on the pontoon..... a bucket and a boat hook would be useful..... (maybe on board but could not locate).I think ClickandBoat need to take the picture of the latest Ericson 34 off the advert..... in the UK that is misleading advertising..... !!! But a great boat to sail... almost identical to my MG25 Spring inside... and a great location to sail.... we covered everything we wanted in the time. So we look forward to the next time we visit ... we both had a great day out ... and Mary was a very helpful and interesting person to talk to. Very memorable day and the weather was fantastic.
