Charter a yacht and discover Lisbon from the water

A boat rental in Lisbon, Portugal's capital and largest city, promises an incredible adventure in a true cosmopolitan centre that has long inspired painters and writers. From here, the first Portuguese caravels set sail during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, embarking on historic voyages. This vibrant city unveils its rich history daily through its culture, cuisine, architecture, language, and people. However, it is Lisbon's natural beauty and energy that truly captivate.

Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Sea of Palha, Lisbon was built upon several hills, including São Jorge, São Vicente, Sant'Ana, Santo André, Chagas, Santa Catarina, and São Roque. This topography has given rise to cable cars like the one in Parque das Nações and lifts, such as the renowned Santa Justa Elevator, connecting Baixa Pombalina to the historic Bairro Alto.

Despite the destruction caused by the 1755 earthquake and the 1988 fire, Lisbon is home to numerous monuments that still stand today, each worthy of a visit. As you explore the city, you might stumble upon the picturesque Alfama district, where the Castle of São Jorge and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maior await. The renowned Praça do Comércio, the most famous square in town, awaits your discovery in the historical centre. Towards the western zone lies Belém, a district celebrated for its plethora of monuments, including the iconic Tower of Belém, a symbol of Portuguese exploration between the 15th and 17th centuries.

What can you see and do by boat in Lisbon?

No matter which starting point you choose—Doca de Alcântara, Doca de Santo Amaro, or Marina Parque das Nações—beginning your boat tour in Lisbon at the Natural Reserve of the Tagus Estuary is a must. It's a serene oasis in the heart of the city where you can breathe fresh air, observe seabirds, and start your day right.

As you cruise along the Tagus River, one of the first landmarks you'll see is the Vasco da Gama Bridge. Stretching an impressive 17 kilometres, it adds a touch of urbanism and modernity to the charming cityscape of Lisbon.

The best part of a private boat rental in Lisbon is the freedom to choose your own itinerary, and Lisbon offers countless possibilities for stops. We recommend visiting the National Tile Museum and the National Museum of Ancient Art to admire Portugal's artistic contributions. Don't miss the chance to see the National Sanctuary of Christ the King, the Monument of the Discoveries for stunning panoramic views, the awe-inspiring Monastery of Jerónimos, and, of course, the iconic Tower of Belém—the most famous monument in Portugal. The Tagus River truly embodies the spirit of Lisbon!

For beach enthusiasts, Lisbon also boasts beautiful seaside destinations, like Praia da Torre. And if you crave more beach options, your boat can take you to Cascais, where you can explore charming beaches such as Guincho, Rainha, Conceição, and São Pedro de Estoril, perfect for soaking up the sun before returning to Lisbon.

If you're up for exploring neighbouring regions, we recommend heading to Sesimbra and Setúbal with your Lisbon boat rental. These idyllic spots, nestled near the Arrábida Natural Park, house some of the finest beaches in the country, including Galapinhos Beach, Portinho da Arrábida, and the Troia Peninsula. Prepare for golden sands and crystal-clear waters to bring your summer dreams to life!

Lisbon is a great option to grab a boat. Although the water is not as blue and warm as the Mediterranean, the experience heading out to the ocean is very great

Lisbon has the perfect weather to sail. Nice bays to drop anchor and jump to the water and get tanned under the warm sun, far from the city to relax but always accessible through nice marinas whenever you want to have fun on crowded places.
