Holidays in Menorca: Better on board!

With a yacht charter in Menorca you’ll have the ability to stop in a variety of authentic villages dotted along the coastline. These picturesque villages lost along the coast will make you forget the tourist noise of the big cities. Agriculture and gastronomy are part of the local life here: don't forget to sit down in a local bar or restaurant to taste the fresh fish of the day! Culinary advice: "sèpia al forn" with Menorca's emblematic drink "Gin Xoriguer".

On the other hand, don't forget to visit each and every one of the wonderful beaches that the island has to offer you. In the northern area, you can't miss the beaches of Cala Pregonda, with its reddish sand, Cala Tortuga, with its calm and shallow waters, and Cala del Pilar, with its wide sandy beach. But if you are looking for turquoise waters and dreamy postcard-like beaches, then head south, Cala Macarella, Cala Mitjana and Cala en Turqueta are a must in your next adventure!

The island has a wide range of sports to offer as well, routes on foot, by bike, on horseback... If you are a lover of hiking, you can't miss the Camí de Cavalls, 185 km divided into 20 stages that cover the whole island. In addition, the S'Albufera des Grau, is the most important natural park, with over 5,000 hectares and considered a Biosphere Reserve.

Come to the Ciutadella, one of the most beautiful cities on the island, walk through its narrow streets in the old town, know the Plaza del Borne or even the Castle of San Nicolas. In Mahon, the capital, you can visit the Fortress of La Mola, as well as its charming stores. There you can explore one of the largest natural harbors in the world, with 6 kilometers in length.

How about watching one of the incredible sunsets in Menorca? We recommend that you go to one of the many lighthouses or cliffs that are found all over the island and enjoy an unforgettable sunset. You can also do it from your boat! And what do you think of a stargazing in the middle of the Mediterranean? Simply wonderful!

Sailing around the island

Menorca is one of the top destinations for sailing trips. You can moor your yacht in the ports of Fornells, La Ciutadella or Es Castell to enjoy a unique stay and a different kind of vacation. Do you have several days off? Get away from it all! How about sailing from cove to cove in the Balearic Archipelago?

  • Port of the Citadel, has a length of 1200 meters and 175 moorings, in addition to an unmistakable charm.
  • Port of Fornells, is surrounded by the typical white Mediterranean-style houses and is the second largest on the island after Mahon!
  • Puerto de Sanitja, very close to the Cavallería lighthouse, where you can admire one of the most beautiful sunsets.

Menorca is great by boat.. No car park hassle and the most exclusive calas and beaches that you can only get to by boat. The highlights were Cala Macarella and Macarelleta. The Med in September is still a good bet for good weather and warm calm waters. We're definitely coming back.

Carlos

Amazing island. Turqueta and Macarella are beautiful!
