Born in 1962, grew up in a traditional fisherman family that passes down the true knowledge and experience of a Captain. Learnt Maritime studies at school. An Officer of the ocean liner, a fisherman, and an experienced Captain. After a career on ocean liner ships and fishing he took a next step, first as an Captain on a 20 meter long gulet and later as an Captain and owner of 14,5 meters long ship Lastavica. With Lastavica, Igor was doing a one day excursions, mostly on Makarska riviera. By the year of 2008, Igor has sold ship Lastavica while the new, 33 meters long Lastavica was built. The new Lastavica was the result of the careful planning, years of experience and a team of highly Professional ship builders. It carries the spirit of the past with its traditional design but the equipment and the comfort is the top of the notch. With new Lastavica Igor, together with his family, sailed the Croatian sea from south to north offering 7 days cruising. Meantime, Igor procures an additional ship to fulfil his fleet. The name of the ship is Amiči, made from wood and she used to me a military minesweeper. At the moment of purchase, Amiči was in bad shape. With the experience from previous shipbuilding and restoring wooden ships, Igor, together with his team, brought back life to Amiči after what he employed the ship in National park of Krka as a transfer ship. After owning and sailing with Lastavica for 10 years and owning Amiči for 5, he decided to sell both of the ships and engage in a new project, the project of building 2 brand new ships. Once again, in 2017/2018, he gathered the brilliant team of shipbuilders, designers and engineers and the projects Swallow and Lastavica saw the light of a day - 2, yachtlooking, sister ships, 49 meters long with 4 decks, 18 aircon passanger cabines with private bathrooms, sauna, jacuzzy and many more By the season of 2019 Swallow was finished and was on its way to inaugural week on the day of 15.06. Meantime, Lastavica was in the shipyard and after a year and a half, by the day of 16.04.2020, she was ready to sail. Unfortunately, global pandemic of Coronavirus has prevented the Lastavica to enjoy the inaugural season. During all this time, Igor has carefully gathered the best team for the job under a brand of Lastavica cruising.
