What's the difference between a charter with or without skipper?

If you are a private boat owner, you can rent out your boat:

- with a skipper, in a "Co-Sailing" arrangement: you are the skipper in this case.

- without skipper (bareboat): you are not present on board, and therefore the renter must hold the necessary boat licence to sail, and your boat must be insured for private rental.

If you are a professional boat owner, you can rent out your boat:

- with a skipper, by hiring a professional skipper who will then be the boat's captain.

- without a skipper (bareboat): the renter must hold a boating licence authorising them to sail.

In both cases, your boat must be insured for rental.
