Rent a 14-meter sailboat and its captain for the cruise of your choice! With family or friends, you navigate in complete safety within a legal framework, supervised by a licensed, experienced and insured captain for this activity. No special knowledge is required of you. It's your vacation and it's your boat for the duration of the rental. You are at home on board! YOUR BOAT It is a 14 meter sloop built by the Bénéteau shipyards on a plan by German Frers. Excellent sailing performance (especially upwind), smooth movements, warm fittings, wood interior (teak), generous fittings, complete wardrobe (spinnaker, light genoa, staysail) teak deck, solar panels, platform, ladder bathroom, cockpit table, motorized dinghy, etc... Efficient and comfortable: water heater, water maker, 220-litre refrigerator, multifunction microwave oven, washing machine, electric toilet, kitchen utensils and crockery for 8 people, etc.). Safety equipment and navigation equipment are far superior to what is required by the regulations: 8-seater raft, VHF ASN, distress beacon, life jackets with automatic triggering, radar, autopilots, chart reader, wind vane/ electronic anemometer, etc... This unit was refurbished in 2015. The living space has been enlarged: watch station under a new coachroof, enlargement of the saloon, armament, upholstery, new bedding, etc. LIFE ON BOARD You benefit from the advantages of the owner without assuming the disadvantages. You invite the people of your choice on board. Organize your life on board as you see fit. You decide to extend or shorten the stopovers, to modify the program. Depending on the weather and the route, night navigation can be considered to allow you to enjoy stopovers and anchorages for longer. The total sleeping capacity and the safety equipment of the ship allow the reception of 8 people in offshore navigation and 10 people in coastal navigation. However, for the success of your cruise, for your comfort and in order to preserve everyone's privacy, Quetzal and its captain invite you to limit yourself to four people and to use 2 of the 3 cabins. The rates are also studied to make the privatization of the boat accessible to a couple with child(ren), 2 couples of friends, etc... However, groups or families of up to 6 people are welcome. In this case the three double cabins and the forward toilets are reserved for your exclusive use. A supplement of 10% on the rental amount to be paid on site will then be requested. In this configuration the captain uses a berth in the saloon, separated by a curtain. The captain is in charge of the manoeuvre, navigation and technical maintenance of the boat. If you wish, he will share his knowledge with you in the areas of your choice: maneuvers, navigation, etc... He takes part in collective tasks. At anchor, it drops you ashore and comes back to pick you up for a walk or a meal in the restaurant. YOUR CAPTAIN I have been sailing for 35 years. More original (and probably rarer...), I have all the qualifications required by French law and by all insurance companies. I am also insured for civil liability for this activity up to 10 million Euros. I am also an approved trainer within the framework of the 200 sail captain's certificate which is, to date, the only patent allowing to ensure the role of captain in a legal framework, on a sailboat for rent or on a sailboat of owner. It is probably not a guarantee of the captain's good humor or his sense of friendliness, but the absence of this patent exposes you to enormous complications at the slightest incident. Apart from my skills, my experience...and my good humor, I assure you total discretion before, during and after your cruise. You be the judge ! THE PROGRAM OF YOUR CRUISE It is established according to your wishes and taking into account the composition of your crew. The weather, in summer and in the Mediterranean, rarely thwarts the projects but can lead to some adjustments. We discuss it together before departure. You choose to favor navigation under sail or the time spent at anchor. I guide you and I advise you but it is you who decide. The sailboat is not just a means of transport. Navigating under sail can bring as much pleasure to the helmsman as to the reader of a thriller comfortably lying on the deck (library on board). Are you drawn to white sand beaches? Do you have children? The program is adaptable for the satisfaction of all. Nap lover? You will be rocked and fulfilled. THE PRICES INDICATED IN THE RENTAL RATES They include the rental of the sailboat and its equipment (motorized dinghy, fishing equipment, flippers, masks, snorkels, etc.) as well as multi-risk insurance. It covers material damage caused to the boat or to a third party as well as bodily injury suffered by the tenant or caused to a third party. These prices do not include the captain's service (€220/day), food for the entire crew, fuel, any port or mooring taxes, the cleaning fee (€200), compulsory as soon as one or several nights are spent on board. Sheets and towels can be provided for 25 €/person/week. Finally and as indicated above, a supplement of 10% on the rental amount will be requested if you use the 3 cabins. These additional costs are to be paid on site from the first day of rental.
