Manuel was a great host and made this trip a very pleasant experience. The boat was comfortable and allowed us to stop in picturesque bays for snorkeling. The recommendations given by Manuel were outstanding and helped preparing our day trip. He also coordinated a nice lunch place off the beaten track easily accessible by boat.We surely will be back.
We had a great time. Manuel couldn't have been a better guide! Would greatly recommend.
Manuel is warm, hospitable and welcoming! We had a wonderful time seeing the sights of Nice, Villefranche and Mala Beach with Manuel. Thanks for being such a knowledgeable host! We’d recommend Manuel again and again :)
Manuel's boat is extremely fun and very comfortable. Located conveniently in the main port of Nice, it makes for a great launching point to many of the numerous beautiful towns and beaches of Southern France. Manuel has a great knowledge of the area and can show you the best places to swim and anchor the boat. I would highly recommend it to anyone renting in Nice.
Great trip! Will definitely be back
Really nice boat. Owner showed us beautiful spots for anchoring.
It was the best day of our trip! It was a really nice and well maintained boat, and we were taken to some really great spots along the coast to snorkel and explore. My wife and I mentioned we love caving, so we were taken to a really cool sea cave. Our spot at lunch was in a beautiful bay, and we literally ate on the beach. We were very comfortable and would book again if we ever find ourselves in Nice.
It was a really great tour!
We had a fantastic day out on this boat. It was the perfect size for our group of four who were travelling from Australia and wanted to experience the French Riviera by sea. We were taken to some beautiful swimming spots and shown some lovely coast line.
Greatest day ever! Manuel was an excellent host who made our trip one we will never forget. He was very patient with us as we struggled with wakeboarding, providing us plenty of opportunities to try again. Snorkeling and enjoying the sun in Ville Franche were the highlights. Highly recommend.
Merci Manuel - beautiful boat, well maintained and very comfortable. Boat handles well, we were 4 and we didn't get wet even in choppy waters. The platform and ladder on the back make jumping off for a snorkel and swim very easy. Thanks for meeting us and explaining everything!
Manuel was a great skipper. He took us out all day, showed us some great sites and spots and brought us to a great waterfront restaurant for lunch. Highly recommended.
Manuel was an excellent "host" :). The boat was awesome and in perfect condition. It looked exactly like it does in the pictures. We enjoyed spending the day on it between tanning, swimming near the coast and doing some wakeboard. Manuel was very helpful and went the extra mile to explain everything. He was available at all times to answer any questions on our end and made us feel comfortable being on board. Overall it was a great experience and I would rent this boat again when we go back to the South of France.
The initial booking process was very smooth. I asked about booking the boat for half day but the skipper Manuel said half day option isn't available. He provided a very interesting itinerary for a full day from 10am to 5pm, including spearfishing, seeing Beaulieu/Eze, La Mala, cave, great restaurant for lunch, Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, Villefranche, and etc. It sounded too good to pass on even though we wanted a half day option. Price agreed was EUR 435 (boat rental) + EUR 100 (skipper) + EUR 25 to 80 (fuel). Prior to finalizing the booking, I also specified that we have 4 adults and 2 children and asked about life jackets. Manuel promised that they are available. At the time of the booking, we paid EUR 335 and he said the rest can be paid in cash on the day of the trip. Fast forward to our actual trip, we originally booked the trip for May 22nd but Manuel agreed to postpone to May 23rd based on the weather forecast. In the evening of May 22nd, Manuel reached out and suggested to shorten the trip to 2 hours given the unpredictability of the weather/water condition. We were very disappointed but trusted his expertise. Since we paid 335 out of the 435 for the boat rental already, we tried to ask for a refund as if we booked the trip for half day. However, he insisted that he was shortening the trip as a favor to us and he was already being very generous about giving us a EUR 100 discount. He was set on keeping the 335 that we already paid. So we asked to possibly extend the trip to 3 hours. We met him at the Nice Port at 10am. We tried to keep a positive attitude since this was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. The boat was in good condition. We had to ask for a life jacket for the child and Manuel offered the child an adult size. During the trip, we asked about spear fishing as he originally proposed at booking but Manuel said he wasn't prepared with any equipment since our trip is shortened. In the end, we sailed along the coastline passing by Villefranche, La Mala and got dropped off at the Beaulieu Port (this was our ask since we didn't want to go back to Nice). He dropped us off at 11:30am since he wanted extra time to go back to Nice. Hence keeping his boating time to 2 hours. It was very disappointing to have paid so much money EUR 225 (boat rental) + EUR 100 (skipper) + EUR 80 (fuel - quoted by him since we went all the way to La Mala) for a 1.5 hour trip. We didn't get to dock at any port along the way. We felt like he was in serious rush to keep the whole trip under 2 hours even though we tried to negotiate for 3 hours based on what we paid already. I would definitely recommend checking out the coastline. It's truly beautiful. However, I would consider other options. Overall, big promises but poor delivery. And the weather turned out to be very pleasant for the entire day.
