The most important thing is to adapt to the wishes of the boaters, and the islands around Makarska are beautiful, so those wishes are not difficult to fulfill

Cute, touristy port with lots to do for kids. Neat farmer's market off the town square.

Brela beach, just a few kms north of Makarska, is amazing for snorkeling, watersports and food. On Brac Island, Martinica Beach is a much cozier choice than Zlatny Rat (aka Golden Horn) - it is not as famous, but is much less crowded, while also offering lots of watersports, and it is only a few km away.

A relaxed, fun beach vacation spot with a lot of things to do for fun. There are many different dining options for all price points, just explore the town. A busy tourist spot but the vibe was positive always and a place I would visit again. The locals we're always helpful.
