boat hire in Kefalonia · Nikita — 500 (2018)

Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience with Pantazis and George. The boat we were offered when we arrived at the meeting place was not the boat on this listing and the one I had chosen to book. When I raised this with the two men, they pleaded ignorant, claiming they would give us a newer boat as they no longer owned the Nikita 500 (we later spotted it on the ocean with their company name on!) This newer boat was much smaller, with a 30hp engine rather than the 60hp advertised, and did not require a license. Given that I’d researched for a larger boat to make use of my license, this was extremely disappointing and furthermore, I could have rented a smaller 30hp boat for a much lower cost. The two men were incredibly unhelpful and refused to even recognise the issue, telling me the 30hp engine boat they provided was actually 50hp despite 30hp written on the outboard! I flagged this and they continued to lie to my face and told me that I don’t understand engines (despite having a boat license) Really quite shocking behaviour and tainted our experience. I have reported this as fraud to click & boat and asked them to remove the listing and the owner. Avoid at all costs! Their company is called “ Kefalonia Compass Rent a Boat” so avoid if booking directly!

Great boat in very good condition. The owners were good communicators beforehand and very helpful on the day. Would definitely recommend.
