Boat Hire in Malta with Click&Boat

Malta is known for being one of the smallest countries in Europe, and is located south of Sicily and above the north African coast. The country is an archipelago consisting of three main islands: Malta, Gozo, and Comino. Book your boat hire in Malta and enjoy one of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean. This small country in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea is characterized by unspoiled and wild nature, surrounded by crystal clear blue waters. This makes Malta a true paradise for tourists who choose to get to know it by boat.

One of the country's most fascinating piers is the Valletta Waterfront, which is also the island's most important port. Not only because it is located directly in the capital, but also because it is over 260 years old. Other prominent ports are Portomaso, the Kalkara Marina and the Mgarr Marina. The island has hidden coves and blue beaches that offer peace, tranquility and a sunset ideal for moments away from the tourist whirlwind.

Boating in Malta

Malta is not only a true sailing paradise, but also has plenty to offer for all tastes and interests. And not only for a family vacation, but also for a boat trip with friends or colleagues. It's a great way to get to know yourself and those around you better, not to mention a quite unique way. Hire a boat in Malta, raise the anchor and discover this extraordinary treasure in the Mediterranean.

Here are some trivia to inspire you, so that you can get to know this beautiful country:

  • Malta, with its capital Valletta, is an island state in the Mediterranean and was part of the British colony until 1964. Since 2004, this country is the smallest member state of the European Union.
  • The climate in Malta is very warm and mild all year round. Malta's landscape is largely mountainous and the only natural raw material of this island state is limestone.
  • Malta is very popular with tourists and an important holiday destination in the Mediterranean for travelers, predominantly European. The island offers several tourist highlights. These include several churches, museums and theaters.
  • Typically found in Malta are the colorful wooden fishing boats, called Luzzus. Their cheerful appearance provides a great backdrop for Malta's coastline, and these little boats continue to be used by fishermen to this day.
  • The ancient capital Mdina is idyllically situated on a small hill. The old center has only 400 inhabitants and fascinates everyone with its old wall and medieval baroque architecture. But the city of St. Paul is also very popular with tourists.
  • Maltese cuisine holds many similarities to Italian and Greek cuisines.
  • In Valletta there is a large harbor that serves as a starting point for your nautical explorations. If you choose to hire a boat in Malta, you can quickly and easily visit the other islands in the region. Thus, it is possible to fully enjoy life in Malta.

Malta's paradise beaches

The Paradise Bay

Paradise Bay Beach is certainly one of the most beautiful. It is situated at the northern end of the main island of Malta. The small sandy beach offers a beautiful spot for snorkeling and a stunning view of the two other main islands Comino and Gozo. The natural caves make the heart beat faster in the adventurous, and the beach parties on the weekends attract many young tourists as well.

The Golden Bay

If you are looking to relax with your boat rental in Malta, then the Golden Bay is the ideal place to visit. Fine sand and some picturesque rocks, surrounded by small restaurants and cafes offering the best food on the coast.

Ghajn Tuffieha Bay

Not far from Golden Bay is Ghajn Tuffieha Bay. Just a few steps from the previous one, this cove is much more pristine and less crowded than other beaches. The beach is narrow, but there is an excellent snorkeling area where you can explore the underwater world and its native marine life.

Charter a boat in Malta in Sliema and visit the neighboring islands first.

The small island of Comino is a popular destination for those looking for day trips. Especially famous is the Blue Lagoon, located between the island of Malta and Gozo. This cove offers the most crystal clear waters in the region, reminiscent of a real swimming pool. The waters are calm, and for those who love swimming, it is possible to reach the islet of Cominotto by water, where there is a beach and some caves to explore. Being one of the most popular destinations in the country, it is usually crowded during the weekends, so a private boat rental is perfect to get to know the Blue Lagoon with exclusivity. Or, make a stop at the lesser known Crystal Lagoon, right next door, which is usually more deserted because it doesn't have a beach, perfect to arrive by boat and take a nice swim.

Only half an hour's crossing from Malta is Gozo, an island rising out of the sea with green hills and steep slopes. A true paradise for divers, cyclists and adventurers. The coastal landscape offers magnificent views over the clear turquoise sea.

What is there to discover in Gozo?

Through a small entrance, you arrive at Xlendi Bay. Because it is loved by beachgoers, the anchoring of the boat is done at a short distance from the beach. This beautiful bay invites you for a day of snorkeling and sunbathing. If you want to stretch your legs a bit, you can take a short walk to the Xlendi Tower and the impressive sandstone rocks.

Another good anchorage, which is also suitable for staying overnight, is Dwejra Bay. This cove, whose sea has a depth of seven to eight meters, is ideal for swimming and diving. The best place to dive is through the wonderful sea caves under the Blue Window. From the beach you can also easily walk over the rock formations to this beautiful natural monument.

A third bay that is a must stop when hiring a boat in Malta is Ramla Bay. It is located about one nautical mile to the east. The beach has reddish parts of the sand, which is why the locals gave it the name: Red Sand Beach. A great experience on your boat tour in Malta!

Definitely take a boat charter. Valetta. Dingli cliffs. The cemetery at Paola, so much to see all over the island. Mdina and Rabat, Mosta. The buses are very efficient and take you all over the island. A walk around the outside of the city wall is also good and take the water taxi across to the three cities.

I was with friends and family to enjoy wedding of our friends. We missed all the boats in our last day because of the celebrations and still not visited the Comino Island, Blue Lagoon etc. My last option was to go to some of the reps in the hotel to ask. She was very detailed about all, but unfortunately we was late for everything and she said that only one opportunity to make the private charter. First offer was self drive boat, but she was explain that weather at the moment is unusual and sea is change fast. In case is better to have a skipper. The price what she gave was really good - skipper, fuel and trip 4 hours 380 euros. Looks pretty expensive but is not, because we had our private time all places and we share with friends. Visited the St Paul Islands near Buggiba, was really nice because of the caves and the story of the islands. After the driver pick us up to the Coral Lagoon, next time I will get diving equipment because the water is really clear. Might is better to visit this place from the land also because is a small entrance for boats, but instead the place is nice. The way to Comino was pretty fast but all of us was enjoyed because was hot. He was left us for short brake in Blue Lagoon, nice place but is very busy, a lot of people... That's why we spend more time around caves and Crystal lagoon. The recommendation from the rep was northern beaches of Malta also, but we was enjoyed more time and the wind was a beat more and we back. Highly recommend this private charters if you want to enjoy your time not depends from the busiest Blue Lagoon and a lot of people on board. We was took own food and drinks. Near the office is a supermarket. If you are couple f families or just looking for something really nice and romantic, do it! Again many thanks to the lady she is an experienced sale and professional skills about sea and weather conditions, boats and places in Malta. Thanks to crew and the skipper - good guy, kept all of us safe.

Visited a lot of secluded bays which are not accesible by walk or car. Boat is super fast and enters deep inside the magnificent caves. Boat is very spacious and in top new condition. Well highly recommend and surely a great value for money. You cannot ask more when you have a local skipper who really knows the place and all the nice spots and caters for all your needs. Well a recommendable private tour for those who who want to explore the islands peacefully...
