Set sail for a peaceful cruise on the Canal du Midi between Carcassonne, with its magnificent and famous medieval citadel, and Béziers, a city steeped in history, guaranteeing authentic discoveries. Accommodates 6 to 12 people. Our barge, with its 115 m² of living space (refurbished in 2013), ensures comfort and safety on board. 6 double cabins: 3 cabins with two twin beds and private toilet and shower room 1 cabin with a double bed 2 cabins with bunk beds 1 toilet (shared by 3 cabins) 1 shower room (shared by 3 cabins) A spacious and bright living area, a large fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with sofas, TV & library, a total of 50 m² of cabin space, and a 30 m² sundeck are at your disposal. You'll occupy the barge as a self-catering cottage, freely organizing your meals and daily life on board. Your itinerary will be proposed in advance but can be modified daily in agreement with the Captain. Our embarkation points will depend on the barge's location on your chosen date, but our route is between Béziers and Carcassonne. All trips are one-way. Thanks to our knowledge of the waterways and our experience as bargees, we can advise you on organizing your stay and provide all the information you need to avoid common pitfalls for beginners. And we'll share our insider tips too! Of course, during your stay, you can learn to pilot this former cargo barge (30 meters long, 120 tons). Just a quick note: the barge is very large, so the crew has separate accommodation with its own entrance. You are not responsible for their meals, and they manage their own meals.
