Yachtcharter in Zadar

The city of Zadar is the perfect starting point or stopover for a cruise on board a sailing boat. The city of Zadar is a fortified peninsula surrounded on three sides by the Adriatic Sea. Its location makes it a perfect stopover for cruises on charter boats, before continuing your journey to Split and the Croatian islands.

The city of Zadar has a beautiful city centre, which would have been equal to Dubrovnik if it hadn't been for the bombings of World War II. You will love strolling through the narrow streets of the old town and discovering the Roman Forum, the Romanesque Church of St. Donatus, and exploring the Baroque treasures the city has to offer. Strolling through the market of Zadar, emblematic of Dalmatia, will make you lose track of time, and will take you to an almost unreal atmosphere, where you can taste the famous Pag cheese, sage honey, or Maraschino, a sour cherry liqueur.

Visiting Zadar, you will fall under the spell of its intense cultural richness and the mark of many civilisations in its cobbled streets as you stroll through the Cathedral of Saint Anastasia, the Square of the Five Wells and of course the Marine Organs. Indeed, Zadar's numerous cultural events make it a terribly lively city, making it all the more pleasant and making it a charming and very dynamic holiday resort.

Things to do by boat in Zadar

You can then rent a motorboat to venture out to the surrounding islands for a day or a longer stay and enjoy the beauty of the multitude of surrounding islands. You can also rent a sailboat and start your cruise in Zadar, giving you the choice of the route: go north and discover the islands of Krk, Cres or Losinj, or sail south and adventure to the islands of Brac, Vis, Hvar and discover Split and Dubrovnik. Sailing in Croatia is a beautiful destination for families and friends, and Zadar is as much a perfect starting port as it is a surprising and very pleasant stopover. We therefore recommend that you pass through Zadar during your cruise and enjoy a stroll along the shore at sunset.

Nice place to spent a holiday. The Old town is perfect to have diner and to walk around. You can have a wonderfull sunset next to the water and walk on the boulevard. We spent 3 days in Zadar but it was to short. I really come back for a second visit.
