Description of Jean Pierre's sailboat
I rent Amarante, my Horizon Challenger from DIVES sur Mer/Cabourg, dept 14 Calvados. This weighted dinghy is unsinkable. It'sshiftable queel allows approach of seashores, and landing with it's 2 legs. I'll accompany you if you intend to go to Normand isles, or if you wish. 5 beds on board, 2 sails and 2 motors allows many possibilities. I've gone through canals to the Mediterranean sea, and Atlantic on coastal cruise. Beware of Tides, harbour openings and Weather Forecast before planning your trip : most locks at low tide for 6 hours... and last Summer, Caen/Ouistreham had to lock it's entry because of low water from the river. You'll find harbour Wifi in Dives, for these plannings.
