Rent a boat in Naples

Naples is the third largest city in Italy and the unofficial capital of Southern Italy, famous for its rich culture and cuisine. This vibrant metropolis, whose old town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995, is about two hours drive from Rome. If you opt for a boat rental in Naples, don’t miss the opportunity to visit the city centre and its palaces, quaint restaurants and cafés, attracting a large number of visitors every year.

Some of the most popular attractions of Naples are the three fortresses Castel Nuovo, Castel Sant’Elmo and Castel dell’Ovo. The Royal Palace is also worth a visit for a glimpse of the art and history of Italy. If you want to delve into the history of the country, you should visit the archaeological sites Pompeii and Herculanum at the foot of Mount Vesuvius.

Positano was lovely, Amalfi town was worth visiting. But Capri is amazing. We enjoyed the ease of cruising mid September which allowed manageable weather with still enjoyable water temperatures. The slow cruising around the Amalfi coast was preferred as the waves can be quite high at times, but the night spent at Capri whilst at anchor was pleasant.

Beautiful city. We visited Procida, Ischia and Capri and loved each island. They are all very quaint and have a lot of character. The one thing I will recommend to other boaters is not to try to pack too many islands in a short trip. We had 3 days and stopped at 3 islands, but originally wanted to stop at 4. It’s a good thing we didn’t because it takes time to walk around these islands and enjoy them to the fullest.

Brittany

Got picked up in Sorrento- had breakfast by the port before heading to Capri for a day and half and then the Amalfi Coast where we moored in Sorrento. Had the best time
