With your boat rental in Cancún, you can sail along the Riviera Maya and then to Isla Mujeres, located just shy of Cancún. Playa Delfines is a great beach to visit and is one of the most popular ones in the area. To make your Cancún yacht excursion at this beach unique, why not take your private boat rental out to this area and paddle your way to shore?

Along with paddleboarding, we highly recommend you do some of the following fun water activities:

  • Scuba dive
  • Snorkel
  • Jet Ski
  • Plan a group swim with sea rays

While in Cancún, take your boat charter to the next level by visiting neighboring islands:

  • Isla Mujeres – is one of the most famous and closest islands to Cancún. This island is great for snorkeling and exploring cliffs and archaeological ruins. Near the south of the island, you will find the Underwater Museum of Arter, where more than 440 sculptures are submerged in the Manchones exhibition area.
  • Isla Contoy – is located about 30 miles south of Cancún and has been barely touched by mankind. In fact, it is one of Mexico’s 67 protected National Parks and the most important bird sanctuary in the Mexican Caribbean.
  • Isla Cozumel – is the largest island in the Mexican Caribbean and the third largest in the country. The island is a cruise ship favorite and a well-known spot for divers; the reef walls on the island are known for being one of the best diving spots in the world. Make your trip intimate and unique by renting a boat in Cancún and sailing it out to Isla Cozumel.

Renting a boat with a skipper

With Click&Boat, you can easily rent boats with or without a skipper depending on your sailing qualifications and desired vacation style. Having a captain on board is a great way to ensure a relaxing vacation and a hands-off experience. With a local licensed captain, you’ll be able to discover and visit the island like a local.

For some rentals, a captain and crew may come at an additional cost depending on the size of the boat and the number of crew needed. Please contact the boat owner if you have any questions regarding the hiring of a captain.

What boat should I rent?

If you’re wondering what type of boat you should rent and are unsure where to start, you can ask yourself the following questions: how many people with be on the charter? What activities will I want to do? How long is my charter? Do I want a captain and/or crew on board? Do I want a party boat rental or more of small boat rental experience?

Some boats are more optimal for certain activities than others. If you have sailing experience and like the challenge of navigating the water, a sailboat is a great way to get an authentic sailing experience. On the other hand, if you’re interested in a full-day rental to do water activities, you should rent a motorboat. They are a good choice for people who are short on time because they go fast and are typically hired by the day. Happy sailing!

When is the best time to go?

If you are looking for the best time for your yacht charter in Cancún, we would recommend setting sail in the winter months! Generally a great sailing area all year around. Marinas are generally a little unorganized and power-supply is tricky most of the times. Marine Cartography is not the best once in shallow waters as sandbanks tend to move with the currents and storms. Be careful sailing by night as fishing-nets close tp shore have very improvised and almost invisible markings.
