Michail is truly the perfect host. I stayed on his catamaran for four days a couple of weeks ago, and it was a unique and unforgettable experience from every point of view. The boat itself is spacious, comfortable, and designed in a way that ensures you always have your privacy. Michail takes care of everything: he’s not only a superb captain but also an excellent fisherman and cook. Every day he went out fishing and brought back fresh lobsters, crabs, and white fish, which he later prepared into delicious meals. During the trip, we explored some of the most breathtaking and secluded islands of the San Blas archipelago. There was plenty of time to relax, enjoy the sea, and take part in different activities on board. On the very first night, we faced a strong storm with heavy rain and thunderstorms. Michail handled the situation with great professionalism and also managed to reassure me when I was feeling truly scared. Beyond being an exceptional host, Michail is also an inspiring person with an incredible life story that he generously shared with me throughout the journey. And I cannot forget his two adorable dogs, Chewbecca and Taboo, who made the experience even warmer and whom I already miss so much. An Unforgettable Sailing Experience in Panama From the moment we stepped aboard, Micha and Joshua welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality that we instantly felt at home. Our family of five, including three young adults, had one of the most memorable holidays we've ever experienced. The food on board was exceptional—freshly prepared every day, with amongst other homemade yoghurt in the morning. Most of the meals were served fish caught the same day (sometimes by us, thanks to a fun and informative spearfishing lesson!). Every meal was a delight and prepared with much care. Despite a gloomy weather forecast, we were pleasantly surprised by mostly dry days filled with sunshine. The visibility both above and below water was fantastic, allowing us to fully appreciate the beautiful underwater world. The coral reefs were vibrant and teeming with life—turtles, large fish. An abundance of marine beauty we hadn’t seen in decades. The boat itself has been thoughtfully designed considering safety and environmental consciousness. Sailing under wind power alone made the journey peaceful and sustainable, and it is clear that Captain Micha has gone to great lengths to minimize the vessel’s ecological footprint. Micha and Joshua created a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and connection with nature. The best week of our lives—absolutely unforgettable! Every day brought Michelin-star-worthy meals: crabs, lobsters, fresh fish, and endless seafood delights. The rainy season? Surprisingly, it’s the perfect time to sail through San Blas. We had fantastic weather and once-in-a-lifetime moments—reef diving, sharks, dolphins, turtles, and even octopuses! Spearfishing, island hopping, and total relaxation. Mischa takes care of absolutely everything. We were on board with our two kids (ages 4 and 7), and even though the trip is over, they still keep asking when we’re moving onto a catamaran for good! If you're dreaming of an extraordinary adventure, book Mischa’s catamaran—rainy season or not, it’s pure paradise on the water.

We had a wonderful time, definitely the highlight of our Panama vacation. We stayed two nights at the end of May(start of rainy season). The weather however was excellent and almost as accommodating as Michail our host. He cooked the most delicious food 3x meals a day and only used the freshest of ingredients in all his dishes. As much as we were absolutely enamored with the fresh caught seafood, we had one in our party with pretty severe seafood allergies. Michail, however was able to provide plenty of agreeable substitutions. He was also a fantastic guide that brought us to several gorgeous islands, including a natural Guna village which our deckhand Joshua grew up. The boat was quite nice and the beds were very comfortable, though personally I slept outside both nights on the mesh hammock of the bow so I could enjoy the starry sky. We were so worried about mosquitos the whole trip and I don't recall seeing even one. As relaxing as it was there was no shortage of activities to enjoy as well. Michail even took us spearfishing so we could catch our own dinner, though I barely caught a fish stick.

He took care of us with such kindness, attention, and genuine warmth that we instantly felt at home. Misha is one of those rare people who radiates calm, positivity, and good vibes. And every location he took us to felt like a secret paradise, carefully chosen to take our breath away. The boat is great and well equipped (paddle, dinghy, mask/snorkel, wifi). Michail is a very good cook, we could hardly have had fresher fish! He took us where we wanted, he knows the area well, it's practical when you don't know anything about it! We just told him what we wanted to see and he managed to find us the perfect place.
