Located 10 kilometers south-east of Zadar is the small town of Sukosan. Known for its agriculture vine and olive growing, Sukosan is also very attractive to tourists. Interesting places to visit include: the Church of St. Kasijan (baroque architecture), diocese house “Palac” located on an artificial island, and the Church of “Our Lady of Grace”. There are many beaches (Djecji, and Makarska) and coves to go to during the day, as well as nice restaurants with local specialties. Located on the Adriatic Sea, the half circle shaped marina is a nice departure point to visit other nearby cities or islands.
