It was originally designed to be a boat serving diving personnel, and that is also the reason for its size which measures in at just over 21 meters/ 70feet. Since then, Santa Maria has been completely redesigned and renovated, while maintaining the key characteristics that identify her as one of the few Greek Traditional fishing ships, "Trexantiri". THE RENOVATION With the renovation we had in mind to take advantage of every inch possible on and bellow deck. And we did just that! With its uniquely designed interior and exterior Santa Maria can accommodate a stunning amount of 49 passengers (44 due to covid regulations) for daily cruises, and an equally worthy amount of 10 passengers for weekly cruises. This is made possible with our 5 cabins, each one with a double bed, a standalone W.C. and shower, plus air conditioning which is a must to keep you cool during summer's warmest days in Greece's famous seas. OUR CREW Every magnificent boat has a crew to fit its needs. Therefore, onboard Santa Maria you will find our crew, ready to sail. The captain, knows the ship better than anyone, and the same can be said for his knowledge of the greek islands, so sit back and relax because he will find the safest and most beautiful waters to sail to for you to enjoy. Our cook, a master of traditional Mediterranean cuisine will make sure to keep your appetite satisfied with his dishes. And no ship can sail without a steward of course! We prioritise customer satisfaction above all so be sure that our services will be top notch. Santa Maria is based in Alimos Marina, Athens. This is the port of embarkation and disembarkation. From there you have some options to choose from in order to make your trip as personalised as possible. You need a full day cruise to enjoy Greek Seas from morning to evening? You prefer a quicker trip which lasts for half a day? We got you covered in both cases with unique sailing routes and destinations e.g. Aegina island, Agia Marina, Athens Riviera. The sailing does not stop there. As mentioned above our ship has the ability to accommodate up to 10 people for multi-day and weekly cruises. The routes are calculated and tailored based on the weather and your personal preference of course.
