There were many things i appreciated about this trip... many positives and some very important negatives. It was a nice trip for someone who had never snorkeled anywhere in the world. As a seasoned traveler and someone whi has snorkeled in the caribbean, hawaii, and australia, it was way below average . The accommodation was promised to be a snorkel trip and they suggested a fishing boat ... but because Matt was a seasoned dive instructor with understanding, (which was why i chose this trip) i hoped my expectations would be met. He accommodated the request at a very late bookin time ... but while much if the trip waa better than expected (including lunch and and the stability if the boat through bad weather) the snorkelling accommodations were terrible. We were surprised to arrive at the snorkel 2.5 hours into the trip with no snorkels or fins. The guide tried to get the captain/crew to find other gear, from other boats, but as you might imagine they offered up the worat of what was left over to accommodate us. It helped in that ut wasnt a total waste of time and ... but the gear and accommodation was for shit. If i bargained with guy and got this great deal then ok ... but i didnt because i expected him to come theough. He knew my expectations up front and was too happy ti take the money without xonfirming the readiness. I chatted with him multiple times throughout the the trip to express my frustrations. He coyld only do so much while we were 30 km off shore. Hi only offer on a $700+ trip was to pay for my cab ride .. which was 30 bucks ... dont take this guy or his trip or his offeea anywhere unless you are inexperienced and dont know any better; then you will enjoy it . But if you have been anywhere else in the globe to snorkel, this us not worth the timeor money. They are greedy and act like they give you something ... but it is shit.

I'm Matt, a 36-year-old native of Cape Town, South Africa, where I spent my formative years immersed in the wonders of the ocean. Surfing, diving, fishing and sailing became integral parts of my life, fostering a deep-seated passion for the ocean's playground and its endless beauty. In 2019, I took a leap and bid farewell to the corporate world, drawn by the enchanting allure of a life on the ocean. A spontaneous decision made during a holiday in Thailand led me to this magical destination, and I've never looked back since. I find immense joy in sharing my love for the ocean by teaching fellow enthusiasts how to SCUBA dive as both a PADI and SSI Instructor. There's something truly magical about introducing others to the mesmerizing underwater world and witnessing their awe and wonder as they discover its secrets. To add to the experience, I also encourage the art of underwater photography, a skill I love to pass on to my students, enabling them to capture and preserve these extraordinary moments forever. Living a holistic lifestyle is paramount to me, and I embrace daily practices of exercise, excellent nutrition, mindfulness, and gratitude. This blend of physical and mental well-being fuels my energy and passion.
