Yacht charter in Crete with Click&Boat

Crete, the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean, is known worldwide for the beauty of its landscapes, numerous tourist attractions and splendid historical heritage. What better way to get to know it would be than to rent a boat in Crete, Greece to discover the wild nature and sail through its hidden bays? Home to the Minoan civilization and marked by more than 5,000 years of historical events, your trip to Crete will be the perfect combination between culture and a well-deserved rest.

Make Heraklion your main base and stroll through the city centre: the colours and aromas of the traditional market will intoxicate you from the first light! Then take a tour of the relics of the city's past and the island's culture: the Palace of Knossos, the Heraklion Fortress, and the archaeological museum are just the beginning.

How much does it cost to charter a yacht in Crete?

Depending on your needs and budget, you can find the perfect sailboat, motorboat or catamaran for a fantastic boat trip along the Greek coast. Of course, the rental price will directly depend on the capacity and type of the boat, its equipment, additional services or the specific period of the year.

Sailboat

Our prices for sailboat rentals begin at €90/day and €630/ week in the low season and €190/day and €1,330/ week in the high season.

Motorboat

Our prices for sailboat rentals begin at €250/day in the low and high seasons.

Catamaran

Our prices for sailboat rentals begin at €1,500/week in the low and high seasons.

What is included in the cost?

The cost includes using your chosen vessel for your Crete yacht charter. The essential safety equipment will be included to ensure that you and your guests have a secure and worry-free journey! The final cost may differ depending on the additional services and extras that the boat owner provides. Fuel will typically require an additional payment and will depend on the type of boat you choose and how long you will sail in Crete.

How much are mooring fees in Crete?

The mooring fees in Crete can vary depending on the marina or port you choose. The prices generally depend on the size of the boat and the duration of your stay. Some marinas may offer additional facilities such as showers, restaurants, and shops.

Rent a boat in Crete with or without a skipper?

Whether you're an enthusiastic beginner seeking new horizons or a seasoned sailor craving the ultimate maritime experience, our exceptional boat rental services are meticulously crafted to cater to your individual preferences and desires. Let our team of highly skilled and knowledgeable professional skippers take the reins as they expertly navigate the turquoise waters. With their unwavering expertise, they effortlessly handle all the technicalities, including precise docking and secure anchoring.

If you prefer to take the helm yourself, we also offer bareboat charters. At Click&Boat, your safety is our top priority. Before setting off, the boat owner may require proof of experience and a sailing license to ensure your safety and that of your guests onboard. Without a skipper, you are fully responsible for the safety of the boat and navigation during your trip.

When is the best time to charter a boat in Crete?

The best time for a boat charter in Crete is during the spring and summer months (April to September). During this period, the weather is warm and stable, ideal for sailing. The high season, from June to August, offers the warmest waters and most vibrant atmosphere, but it can be busier.

For those looking for a more tranquil experience, the shoulder seasons of April-May and September offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and a more relaxed ambience. Keep in mind the local festivities and holidays that might affect boat availability and prices.

What places should I visit during my Crete boat rental?

Crete is the cradle of the Minoan civilization, whose heart and most important place in terms of archaeological wealth is Knossos. It is worth walking around the city of Heraklion, the largest urban centre on the island. We recommend a stroll through the charming and typical Cretan streets. You can also visit the monuments from the Venetian occupation, such as the Loggia and the old harbour with the famous fortress of Koules.

Chania

On the west of the island lies the charming town of Chania. Although it was partially destroyed by bombing during World War II, its beauty still attracts tourists every year. Especially the district of Splantzia, which preserves the ancient atmosphere and spirit of Crete's history to this day, cannot be neglected on your itinerary. You can leave in a speedboat from the port of Souda to the beautiful beach of Stavros or Réthymnon.

Agios Nikolaos

On the east of the island is the town of Agios Nikolaos, famous for its numerous beaches. In the city's centre is the curious Vulisméni Lake, known as "bottomless". Of course, this is just a name, but a justified one: the bottom is 64 meters deep. The main marina is located to the south of the city, and from there, you can take a nice boat ride to the island of Agioi Pantes.

Heraklion

Crete's largest and most important city, its historical capital, is named after the hero Hercules (Heraklion). There are many picturesque beaches in Heraklion. Many tourists come here exclusively to visit them, as their diversity allows everyone to find a quiet place to relax with the kids and spend time relaxing and playing water sports. During your cruise to Crete, don't hesitate to make a stop ashore to see the main monuments, such as the Knossos Palace, the Fountain of Morosini, the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum, the Archaeological Museum, the Orthodox Church of St. Titus and the Fortress of Koules.

Where to sail with my boat rental in Crete?

Bay of Balos

This is one of the most beautiful places in Crete and Greece. This cove is called a Cretan paradise for a reason! White sand with a slightly pinkish tinge, unbelievable crystal blue sea... sounds incredible. Consider this bay a must-see on your itinerary because you can't miss it when you travel to Crete! The easiest way to reach it is by boat from the port of Kissamos. By renting a sailboat or catamaran, you can sail from east to west on a real cruise, enjoying the magnificent landscapes of Crete. Use your yacht charter in Crete to reach the island of Santorini, famous for its beautiful architecture and white houses with blue roofs. Who knows, maybe even Athens or the beautiful cities on the Turkish coast, such as Antalya, Bodrum, or Marmaris, will also catch your eye, and a trip there will not take more than a few days.

The combination of the three seas

If sailing is your true passion, and you dream of great vacations aboard and conquering life on the high seas and are dying to set sail, don't wait another minute and embark with Click&Boat on your coveted cruise through the various Mediterranean seas! Crete is surrounded by 3 seas (the Ionian Sea to the west, the Aegean Sea to the east and the Sea of Crete to the north of the island), and the Bay of Balos is where they merge. This is what makes Crete's nature surprisingly unusual. Many mountains, rocky coastlines, and long beaches.

Known for its pink sand and turquoise waters, Elafonissi Beach is a must-visit destination in Crete.

Crete is a beautiful island full of secluded beaches with crystal waters, and gorgeous nature. There are many little towns with harbors to visit such as Heraklion, Agios Nikolaos, Rethymno, Chania and many more. There are also many little islands nearby that are well known for their wild and natural beauty such as Dia for example which is an uninhabited island 6 miles north of Heraklion and is definately worth visiting because not only of the gorgeous turquoise waters but also because of the unique sunset view you can have on the way back from the island, not to mention the chance to meet dolphins that usually swim around boats in that area.
