Should you rent a boat with or without a skipper?

When searching for a yacht charter on Click&Boat, you will find the option to have a book with or without a skipper and/or crew. While this comes at an extra price, it comes with many benefits. For one, a professional skipper will be able to guide you seamlessly through the waters on your boating holiday. They will handle the sailing, docking, and anchoring of the boat, so you can just sit back and relax. Not only will this ensure absolute comfort, but a skipper will be able to customise your journey to your liking. If you’d like, you can even organise your skipper and/or crew to cook and clean for you for a memorable experience.

What is there to do in Rethymno?

There are two sides of Rethymno: the vibrant city filled with history and culture and the relaxing long strips of sandy beaches. Explore the cultural sites of the city by visiting the Holy Monastery of Arkadi. This is a Byzantine church that still stands, an important part of Cretan history as this is where the Cretans refused to surrender to the Turks in 1866. You can also take a stroll along the harbour wall to visit the iconic Venetian lighthouse. Then, our recommendations during the day time are always to head to the beaches where you can choose to soak up the Greek sun or do some water sports in the gorgeous waters. Our top choices of beaches are Bali Beach, Agia Galini Beach, and Preveli Beach.

Rethymno is the nicest of the „big“ cities in the north. Restaurant Ambrosia is our recommendation. Beautiful sea view. We suggest to make a trip to the south as well. One hour from Rethymno you find Agia Galini with the restaurant Onar. If you drive a bit further you find beautiful beaches like Prevelli, Triopetra and Kalamaki.
