- Köpernick Old Town
- We'll take a boat trip along the old town of Köpenick, one of Berlin's oldest inhabited districts. From the water, you'll see Köpenick Palace and the historic buildings surrounding Luisenhain Park. The area is known for its long history and is considered the origin of Köpenick. From the boat, the old town reveals its quieter, lesser-known side. Interesting facts: Köpenick was first documented in the 12th century and was an independent town for a long time before becoming part of Berlin.
- Müggelsee
- The tour continues past Lake Müggelsee, Berlin's largest lake. Here, the landscape opens up considerably, conveying a sense of the vastness of southeast Berlin. Depending on the weather, Lake Müggelsee is either mirror-smooth or has gentle waves – typical of open water. Interesting facts: Lake Müggelsee has an area of approximately 7.4 km².
- New Venice
- In the final part of the tour, we'll drive through New Venice. This district is characterized by its numerous narrow, branching waterways and small bridges. It owes its name to the resemblance of its canals to Venice. Life here is noticeably quieter and more relaxed than on the large lakes. Interesting fact: New Venice was artificially created at the beginning of the 20th century by constructing waterways to make the area habitable.
