Departing from Portalban (boarding can also be done from another port, with an additional charge of CHF 100 per hour for the empty leg), you glide across Lake Neuchâtel at 10 km/h, lulled by the peaceful movement of the water. The scenery slowly evolves: wild shores, sailboats in the distance, silence. Then comes the Broye Canal, narrow and enchanting, lined with reeds and waterfowl. Upon arrival at Lake Murten, the view opens up. The medieval town of Murten reveals itself in the distance, colorful and vibrant.
