Desert Island
The most iconic of all beaches of the Ria Formosa, Ilha Deserta, with its near 8 km of extension is a must see for all reasons. This island is the only island of the Ria Formosa that is not populated and is known by its remoteness and its pure untouched nature. The only existing structure in the island is its famous restaurant Estaminé, which is open all year. Here you can also find the most southerner point of Portugal, the Cape of Santa Maria.
Culatra Island
Ilha da Culatra is a long expanse of soft golden sand surrounded by a nature reserve including sand dunes and spectacular salt flats. The water is not very deep, and you can run in shallow water about 20 m on the lagoon side. The eastern end of the Culatra island beach, just before the inlet that separates the Culatra from the Armona Ilsland, is probably the most Instagrammable place of Ria Formosa. The beach combines its calm, shallow, blue waters, together with the white sand, create a paradisiac scenery.

    Just a completely wonderful experience. The crew were attentive and very informative. They made it a point to explain everything we were seeing and stories behind it to everyone on the boat equally, no matter where we were. The boat was fantastic, perfect for two couples, more than that is totally doable, but might be a bit tight, you would want to spread out to the bow and stern. We brought a picnic, but they explained we could have had lunch at a little restaurant on an island. We will definitely do that next time. The crew was exceptionally attentive. 5 stars!!

    Overall, it was a nice experience and the staff were friendly, but there was one issue that really affected our enjoyment of the trip. The route itself wasn’t anything special — the places we visited weren’t particularly interesting. I had hoped we would stop at some beautiful bays or more scenic spots, so in that sense, the itinerary was a bit disappointing. The main issue, however, was the behavior of one of the crew members. She was extremely intrusive and this really bothered me. We were on the boat with our children, and while I was attending to them, she constantly talked to my husband without giving him any space. He had no privacy and we couldn’t truly enjoy the trip in peace. At one point, my husband was lying at the front of the boat, quietly enjoying the scenery while I had gone to the back to help our daughter. During that short moment, she came and sat next to him and started talking non-stop. Even when I returned and laid back down next to him, she just kept going as if she didn’t notice — or didn’t care — that we wanted some quiet time together. I had really looked forward to spending a peaceful and intimate time with my husband, but instead I felt my privacy was constantly being invaded. That made me feel uncomfortable and disappointed, despite the otherwise nice setting.

    Amazing day! I booked this trip for my boyfriend and myself and the service was outstanding. The boat was so clean and comfortable. We brought our own drinks and snacks and the staff kept them in the fridge for us and there was also Prosecco upon arrival and throughout and we never had to ask for a refill! We stopped at restaurant Estaminé for lunch - recommended by the team and the seafood was the best we have ever had. The value for money is outstanding.     What a morning! Our fantastic trip with Joao and Flor was a trip highlight to the Algarve! We brought snacks on board and Flor presented everything beautifully along with any drink we wanted.     The most wonderful day! Our crew went out of their way to ensure we had the best day possible. From lunch on a desert island (Estamine restaurant is well worth a visit) to finding us a sand bank to take some amazing photos on, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone, it was the most perfect day, and the absolute highlight of our trip. The boat is amazing, and was perfect for our group of four. We had lunch in a restaurant in an island, which was amazing and recommended by Bruno. The whole day was an amazing experience for my husband, daughters (ages 16 and 13) and myself.     Wow!! We honestly had the best day!! 3 adults and 1 child (age 3!) and it couldn’t have been better!! We saw dolphins which were jumping informer of the boat, coming right up!l to the boat.
