Juan from the company was great to deal with - easy communication. The boat was as described, new and spotless condition. The organised skipper (a different Juan) was great, very accomodating and very pleasant all day. Skipper was advertised at €180 but on the morning this turns out to be the cash only price, it's €180 + VAT if you pay on card which wasn't communicated prior to arrival. It transpired the skipper is independant and not an employee of the rental company - not that this makes much difference. Our only complaint was the way fuel usage was calculated. Previously when renting in Ibiza, the boat was full at the start of the day and refueled at the end so there was no doubting the fuel use. At the end of our day, the fuel use was calculated based on the hours moving time from the boat tracker @40lph which worked out at 146 litres for the day. I paid this without thinking but afterwards checked the previous years useage to find this had been over double the litres for a similar day's trip. When I considered it in detail, while we were moving for almost four hours, we spent a considerable portion of this at low rpm as two of our party were feeling ill and also we visited many locations so were travelling slowly while anchoring etc. The calculated 146L was over 85% of the fuel capacity for this boat so we would have been well into our reserves had this been accurate and one of our stops was for three hours, meaning we would have likely ran out of fuel if we'd done more crusing if this was in any way accurate (which I don't think it was). Again, I don't think this occured, just that the estimation method greatly overestimated our fuel usage. If we'd had been towing a doughnut and using lots of power it could potentially have underestimated the fuel usage I suppose so either way something more accurate and transparent is required. I did complain to Juan and we came to an agreement where some money was subsequently refunded.
