What happens in the case of bad weather?
If the weather does not allow you to go out to sea, it is preferable to postpone the booking and to agree on a new date with the boat owner. For daily rentals, you have the possibility to subscribe to our Weather Guarantee in order to be fully reimbursed in case of bad weather (special weather report, storm, etc...).
Is fuel included in the charter price?
Fuel is not included in the rental price. Please contact the owner if you would like an estimate of the fuel cost of booking this boat.
Do I need a licence to rent this boat?
You do not need a boating licence to book this boat. However, you may be asked for an ID on the day of the rental.
Am I insured in case of problems with the boat at sea?
All boats available on Click&Boat are covered by at least a mandatory third-party liability insurance (RC), as required by applicable regulations. This insurance generally covers damages caused to third parties, but does not cover damages caused to the rented boat itself.
In the event of damage to the boat during the rental period, the owner is entitled to retain part or all of the deposit left by the renter in order to cover the repair costs. The renter may, where eligible, take out a damage waiver insurance in order to protect their deposit.
As a general rule, damages are to be settled directly between the renter and the boat owner. In case no agreement can be reached, the matter may need to be referred to the competent legal authority.
Additional insurances (such as deposit waiver, assistance, etc.) may be purchased directly on Click&Boat at the time of booking, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
Am I experienced enough to rent this boat?
Before accepting a booking request, the owner may carry out a check of the hirer's nautical CV to ensure that they are experienced enough to hire the boat. The owner can also adapt their check-in to the port (training, help leaving the port) according to the nautical skills of the renter. Do not hesitate to discuss this with the owner via the message board.
