Vis is a beautiful little island! It was our first time, but not our last. It has beautiful hidden beaches, dramatic nature, but perhaps best of all are the friendly, open, honest, hospitable locals! The wine and the olive oil are fantastic and from a boat all these places and experiences are at your fingertips.

Of all the inhabited Croatian islands, Vis is the furthest from the coast and the most enigmatic. It spent much of its recent history serving as a Yugoslav military base, cut off from foreign visitors from the 1950s right up until 1989. This isolation preserved the island from development and drove much of the population to move elsewhere in search of work, leaving it underpopulated for many years.
World famous Blue cave and Stiniva beach are located on Island Vis, and that's just a small part of what you can see in a day.

Our boat tour with Dennis was unforgettable. His deep local knowledge made all the difference in ensuring the trip was a success. Dennis took us to the Blue Cave, where he purchased our tickets – essentially a local fast pass that saved us a long wait. He also guided us to several other stunning caves where we could swim and explore at our leisure. We visited numerous breathtaking beaches, some of which offered the opportunity to enjoy food and drinks at beach bars and restaurants. The boat was a good size for the five of us in my family to be comfortable. Dennis made our boat tour the true highlight of our trip.

We had a great day with Dennis exploring the caves and beaches of Vis and Biševo. Highly recommend if you are staying on Vis island. Full day or fun and exploring!

Our group of nine, including five kids, had an unforgettable day on the boat with Dennis. He knows the island better than anyone and we felt so safe with him driving the boat. He didn’t ever rush us to leave a spot which we appreciated. It was my favorite day of our five day trip to Vis! His communication leading up to the day was wonderful as I prepared our group.
