    Dear All, We graded this trip with 5 stars so that it would stay at the top for everyone to see, although 5 star it was not.... I chartered the boat from August 11th - 16th August 2025. We were only 4 people, one person in each cabin. There were several problems, the boat was advertised as having a working air conditioning system. However this was a major problem, this was the hottest week in SOF with temperature around 32C. The temperature in all the cabins did not go under 29C! I have pictures to prove this. Luckily, my house is in the area, therefore, l sent for electric fans to be brought from there. I can’t imagine if l lived far away ! Housekeeping, was minimum to non existent, our beds were never made only the rubbish bins were emptied. I also brought towels from my home as we were not given sufficient towels during the trip. We found out there was a dog on board throughout the trip, in spite of one of my guests being allergic. There was no mention of a dog on the charter website. The last but definitely the most important thing. Max the Captain, who is a friendly man, likes his alcohol, a glass of wine around 11.30hrs, a beer and maybe some wine with lunch, an Anise in the afternoon and he and his wife share at least one bottle of wine with dinner. As l am not familiar with the maritime laws in France, l am not sure whether it is acceptable for a boat Captain to drink this much alcohol when he is in charge of a vessel and with people on board. Due to all the above points we left the boat 24hrs early and before the end of our cruise.
