About the experience

Discover the wonders of Lake Maggiore aboard the Gio' Mare Open, a 5.7-meter boat equipped with a 40 HP Evinrude engine, characterized by low fuel consumption and certified for six people. Perfect for an outing with family or friends, this boat guarantees comfort and safety while sailing.

On board, you'll find all the equipment you need for a day of relaxation and fun: a swim ladder, a shower, comfortable cushions for both sitting and sunbathing, and an awning for shelter during the hottest hours of the day.

The departure point is the small port of Arolo, in the municipality of Leggiuno. From there, it's just a 5-minute boat ride to the splendid Hermitage of Santa Caterina, while the fascinating Borromean Islands are about 10 minutes away.

A boating license is not required, so you can choose to drive yourself or hire me as your skipper to fully discover the beauty of the lake.
Full-day skipper fee: €100
Half-day skipper fee: €60

Fuel is not included in the rental price. The boat has an average fuel consumption of about 13 liters per hour, with an approximate cost of €2 per liter.

Rented a boat and skipper for the afternoon so I could propose to my partner and it went perfectly! I messaged Valeriano and arranged for him to pick us up from Arona and bring a bottle of Prosecco for us. He took us straight to a beautiful backdrop and offered to take some pictures which gave me the perfect opportunity to pop the question 😊 We then spent the rest of the afternoon touring all around the lake, stopped for a swim, and stopped a second time to sit and relax at which point Valeriano brought out some beers for us as well! It was a magical afternoon and I would highly, highly recommend!!
