About the experience

Embark on a full-day sailing adventure aboard the historic "Dovesesto," a beautifully restored period sailing ship, as you explore the breathtaking coastlines of Sardinia’s Gulf of Orosei. Your day begins with a departure from Cala Gonone, where you’ll set sail into the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean, guided by a skilled crew that intimately knows the region. As you glide across the sea, you’ll pass the Grotte del Bue Marino, one of the most famous sea caves in the area. While we won't be stopping here, the sight of these caves from the boat is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Next, you’ll head to Cala Luna, a stunning beach renowned for its dramatic cliffs and clear waters. This is the perfect spot to take a swim, relax on the shore, and enjoy the serene surroundings. From there, you’ll continue to Cala Sisine, another picturesque cove where you can unwind in the peaceful atmosphere or enjoy a refreshing swim in the calm waters.

After Cala Sisine, the journey continues to Cala Biriola, a hidden gem with its sparkling waters and seclusion. This tranquil location is ideal for another swim or simply soaking in the beauty of the Mediterranean. As the tour progresses, you’ll make your way to the famed Piscine di Venere, natural pools formed by the surrounding rock formations. These pristine waters offer a perfect spot for a swim and to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

The last stop on your journey is Cala Goloritzé, one of the most famous beaches in Sardinia, known for its unique rock arch and pristine waters. While the beach is protected and can only be accessed by foot or boat, you’ll have the chance to admire its beauty from the water and perhaps take a swim in its crystal-clear depths.

Throughout the day, the "Dovesesto" will provide a comfortable setting, with amenities like parking, a cooler stocked with refreshments, and a shower onboard. The crew will ensure your comfort, guiding you through this unforgettable experience, where you'll witness the natural wonders of Sardinia’s coast in a relaxed and leisurely manner.

Itinerary

Starting location:
Cala Gonone
Sea Ox Caves
You pass the Bue Marino Caves, a famous natural formation. However, they are not visited during this cruise, as they would require a separate 2-hour excursion.
Luna Cove
After seeing the Bue Marino Caves, the cruise heads towards Cala Luna. This is one of the most famous and crowded beaches in the area, so the stop here will take place on the way back, when there are fewer crowds.
Cala Sisine
Another spectacular beach in the Gulf of Orosei. This is also a very popular destination in the morning, so it will be visited later, when the area is quieter.
Cala Biriola
The cruise continues towards Cala Biriola, a small and charming beach where we will make a short stop.
Pools of Venus
A stop of about an hour at the Piscine di Venere, famous for their crystal clear waters, ideal for a refreshing swim.
Lunch break
The captain will choose one of the most beautiful and quiet beaches, such as Cala Mariolu, Cala dei Gabbiani or the Sorgenti beach. Here the longest stop of the day will be made to have lunch (brought by the guests) and to enjoy a relaxing swim.
Cala Goloritzé
One of the most iconic beaches in Sardinia, famous for its natural arch. Being a national park, it can only be reached by foot or swimming. The boat will approach the beach, and at the captain's discretion, you will take a swim from the boat.
Last stop (Cala Sisine or Cala Luna)
On the return journey, weather permitting, the motor sailer will sail towards Cala Sisine or Cala Luna for a final dip before returning to Cala Gonone.
Arrive back at:
Cala Gonone
