Catamaran Charter Mallorca- Let's Sail!

The largest island in the Balearic Archipelago (and in all of Spain!), is ready for you to come and visit! Mallorca offers all its visitors more than 500 kilometers of wonderful coastline, making it a reference point both nationally and internationally. But that's not all! As one of the most important sailing destinations in the Mediterranean, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a few unforgettable relaxing days on board.

How much does it cost to charter a catamaran in Mallorca?

The price of renting a catamaran in Mallorca can vary depending on several factors. The type of boat, the season, the age of the boat and the duration of the rental, all are major factors that vary prices. And additional services like having a skipper and/or crew on board (which is very much in demand for catamaran charters) may also influence the cost of your sailing vacation.

  • Weekly catamaran rentals in Mallorca cost between £1,700/week and £4,300/week,  depending on the factors mentioned above.

The best ports of Mallorca

For your next adventure in Mallorca, here are some of the best ports to rent a boat at:

  • Real Club Náutico de Palma (Port of Palma de Mallorca). Its unbeatable location next to the city center of Palma de Mallorca, makes it one of the best ports in which to rent a catamaran in Mallorca. It is also equipped with all the services you may need as well as excellent connections.
  • Puerto de Sóller, a local favorite because of its great location in the middle of the Sierra de Tramuntana. Perfect for a relaxing stop or as a starting point to Cala Deià or Cala Tuent.
  • Puerto de Andrach (Port d'Andratx), with a great location in the middle of nature, and a short distance from places like Cala Fornells or Isla Dragonera, is a favorite for many sailors.
  • Puerto Adriano, its exclusivity makes it the best option to rent a yacht in Mallorca.

Headed to the Balearic Islands!

With an exceptional climate most of the year, dreamy beaches and rocky coasts protecting the most beautiful coves of the Mediterranean- this is Mallorca! The reasons why you should charter a catamaran in Mallorca and enjoy a unique vacation in the Balearic Islands, are endless!

  • You can discover coves and beaches unique to Mallorca, such as Sa Calobra, Cala Mesquida or Cala d'Or, whose access are very difficult and nearly impossible without a boat.
  • You'll have the chance to explore beautiful landscapes like the Bay of Palma or the Tramuntana Mountains from a completely unique point of view: on board!
  • You can get to know the stunning National Maritime-Terrestrial Park of the Cabrera Archipelago, but don't forget to plan in advance to learn about the rules and regulations, as well as to get your necessary pass for access.
  • When heading for the northern end of the island, you will be able to be impressed by the beautiful lighthouses on the coast, and don't forget to make a stop to appreciate all the beauty of Cala Mitjana!

What to do in Mallorca?

The island has a lot to offer to visitors: culturally speaking, there are many must-sees- from the Cathedral of Santa Maria in Palma de Mallorca, where you can find the biggest gothic rose window in Europe, to the circular Castle of Bellver. And you can't forget to take a stroll around its beautiful historic center, full of small streets and perfectly decorated buildings. Be sure to also stop by the Gardens of S'Hort del Rei.

Mallorca is home to 20,000 moorings, meaning sailing around the island has never been easier. With a large number of marinas, you can choose where to dock or anchor your boat. A boat rental in Mallorca is always a great choice to enjoy the area's beaches, cliffs, and in general- get to know the island in a unique way!

Where to sail in Mallorca?

Some of the beautiful coves of Mallorca form authentic natural harbours that end on white sand banks surrounded by pine trees. The great advantage of this island is that there are beaches for every taste:

  • Coves and intimate beaches of Cala Mondragó and Torrent de Pareis, declared a Natural Monument in 2003
  • Sail through the impressive landscapes and enjoy the incredible waters of Cala El Mago and Portals Vells, which are also connected to each other. Admire the incredible landscapes thanks to the cliffs full of vegetation that surround the beach of crystalline water, a unique place to practice a little snorkeling!
  • The Cala Barques, in Manacor, which is difficult to reach on foot, is not usually crowded, which will allow you to enjoy its beauty at your leisure, a special place surrounded by a pine forest, we are sure you'll love it!
  • If you head towards the southeast of Mallorca, you cannot miss a visit to Caló des Moro, where you will find a stunning beach with translucent waters, located between cliffs and vegetation. Although it does not have any facilities such as bars or restaurants, its beauty is more than enough reason to visit it!

What kind of catamaran can I charter in Mallorca?

At Click&Boat we have a wide range of catamarans available from Lagoon or Bavaria, to Fountaine Pajot, or Sunreef, among many others! We advise you for a long term rental (one week or more), to book in advance on our platform to ensure the availability of your dream boat, especially during the summer months.

If you do not have the necessary sailing license or certificate to navigate this type of boat, do not worry! You can request the services of a captain, an expert in the area, who will be responsible for navigating, docking, and anchoring the boat so that you can enjoy an unforgettable vacation on board. Do not hesitate to arrange planning details with your captain- they will be happy to take you to the best places on the island.

Watch out for mozzies, go to Arta and Port de Andratx too. Hire a boat, it’s worth it for the sunset and swimming in the ocean with the schools of fishes. Lots of markets and artisian shops around the place, a really good to pick up things for the home and souvenirs :)

Because our charter was for a limited number of days I can say that Cabrera is an easy and pleasant sail (out and back) if you do not have permission to moor. We loved Sant Jordi for it's lovely port and connected beach area. The anchorage was secure and access is great.
