About the experience

Embark on an unforgettable journey to Isla La Cabrera, an untouched paradise and National Park where history and nature converge.

This full-day adventure offers a unique blend of exploration, from hidden hiking trails to crystal-clear waters for snorkeling, all while uncovering the fascinating stories of pirates and prisoners that have shaped this island’s history.

Set sail from Puerto Portals and cruise for 2 hours across the sparkling Mediterranean to the secluded Cabrera Archipelago. Along the way, pass by islets like Na Foradada, setting the scene for the beauty that awaits.

Upon arrival, drop anchor at Cabrera’s natural harbor, where a mandatory buoy fee applies for anchoring (approximately €20-50 for a 12m boat). From here, your expert guide will lead you on an unforgettable 5-hour adventure through the island’s rugged beauty and rich history.

Hike to the 14th-century Cabrera Castle for panoramic views of the island and the sea beyond. Explore the trails that wind through ancient landscapes, spotting the endemic Balearic lizards along the way. Visit La Miranda or the Faro de N'Ensiola for additional stunning vistas.

Afterward, cool off with a snorkel at Cas Pagès beach or swim to the Blue Cave (Cova Blava), where sunlight filters through the water, creating a surreal, glowing turquoise effect.

Throughout your journey, your guide will share fascinating tales of the island’s past, from Phoenician traders to pirate raids and the tragic story of French prisoners held here in the 19th century.

As the day winds down, sail back to Puerto Portals, reminiscing about the untouched beauty and epic history of Cabrera. With its combination of nature, history, and adventure, this journey is a must for those seeking to experience Mallorca’s hidden treasures.

Exclusions:
Food and beverages (bring your own; no restaurants on Cabrera, only a cantina for drinks)
Buoy fee for anchoring (approx. €20-50 for a 12m boat, subject to confirmation)
Additional water sports equipment or activities (available upon request)

Notes:

Buoy reservations are mandatory and must be booked 20 days in advance via reservasparquesnacionales.es. There are only 50 buoys available daily, so booking early is essential.

The host is very responsive and accommodating — the day we were supposed to go out it was raining so they worked with us to find another day with good weather. The communication ahead of departure was very fast and informative. The boat itself looks nicer in photos, but is more or less what you see in the posting. I will say that the service on board wasn’t great — generally when we’ve rented boat at this price point they are asking us if we need anything and offering to serve us drinks etc. This didn’t happen at all and that was a miss for us. I think that the cost of the boat was not worth the value that was delivered

The skipper was so slow because she want to save the fuel from running out she said. If I wanted a slow boat i would rent catamaran. She had no time management skills. She told us that she cant take us alot of places only 2 because we will not have enough time even though we rented the boat for 8.5 hrs. And towards the end she said i have time i can take you to cala next to the port. Boat had technical issues the second engine didn’t start. We had to go back to the port with only one engine.

Very friendly captain. Things to improve: There were only 3 sodas for 5 passengers. There were only 2 snorkel masks and the boat is for 11!

We had a great day on Juan's boat. Despite the fact that there was a problem with an engine, it was a spectacular day and we will repeat it without a doubt. Both Juan, Emi and Lorenzo were very communicative and helped us have a great day
