Itinerary

Starting location:
Vlychada marina, Santorini, Greece
Santorini – Lixada Marina: Where It All Begins
Your adventure starts at Lixada Marina, nestled along the southern coastline of Santorini. Surrounded by impressive sculpted cliffs and the sparkling Aegean Sea, this quiet departure point sets the tone for a day of discovery. As you step aboard, feel the anticipation rise—you're about to explore the most breathtaking and iconic sites the island has to offer.
Black Beach – The Volcanic Frontier
Sail past the dramatic Black Beach, where volcanic pebbles meet the deep blue sea. The stark contrast between the dark sand and the shimmering water creates a powerful first impression of Santorini’s raw, volcanic soul.
Red Beach – Nature’s Canvas
Next, marvel at the famous Red Beach, where crimson cliffs plunge into turquoise waters. This surreal landscape feels almost otherworldly—a must-see and a favorite for photographers and nature lovers alike.
White Beach – Hidden Gem of the Coastline
Accessible only by boat, the White Beach is a peaceful hideaway surrounded by white cliffs and soft pebbles. Its serenity and unique geology offer the perfect moment to relax, swim, or simply take in the untouched beauty.
Palea Kameni – The Island’s Fiery Heart
Enter the heart of the caldera to approach the Old Volcano, a powerful symbol of Santorini’s creation. Towering from the sea, it stands as a reminder of the island's ever-evolving volcanic energy.
Nea Kameni – Born from the Deep
Sail toward the New Volcano, still geothermally active, rising from the caldera floor. Its rugged terrain and steaming vents create a dramatic contrast with the surrounding sea—proof that Santorini is alive beneath the surface.
Hot Springs – Nature’s Open-Air Spa
Drop anchor near the Hot Springs, where naturally heated waters rich in minerals blend with the cool sea. Take a dip and feel your stress melt away in this warm, therapeutic oasis surrounded by volcanic cliffs.
Thirassia Island – A Step Back in Time
Discover the authentic charm of Thirassia, a quiet island untouched by mass tourism. With its traditional houses, peaceful villages, and slower rhythm of life, it offers a glimpse into the Cyclades of the past.
Oia – The Iconic View from the Sea
End your cruise with a breathtaking view of Oia, Santorini’s most iconic village. From the sea, watch its whitewashed houses and blue domes cascade down the cliffs—an unforgettable, postcard-perfect moment to close your journey.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable day on the boat and the crew were friendly and accommodating. However, there are a few areas where I think the experience could be improved and where the listing could better manage expectations. First, we departed at around 9am when the sea was extremely choppy. For roughly the first 20 minutes, we experienced large waves and a very uncomfortable ride. As visitors unfamiliar with local conditions, it would have been helpful if the crew or boat owner had advised us that a later departure (for example, around 11am) might have provided a much smoother experience. Second, the listing stated that food was included. Since this was a 5-hour trip, we reasonably expected some form of lunch or substantial meal. Instead, we were offered fruit, which was appreciated but did not match our expectations of “food included.” As a result, we had to stop for lunch during the trip, which added more than €350 to our day’s expenses. Another surprise was the fuel charge. Fuel was not included in the booking price, and we were charged an additional €150 at the end of the trip. While this may be standard practice, I think it should be highlighted more clearly during the booking process so guests can accurately budget for the total cost. Finally, there was no real itinerary or guidance provided. We were told we could go wherever we wanted, but as first-time visitors to Santorini, we had no idea where the best swimming spots, beaches, or coves were. We were hoping for recommendations from someone with local knowledge. When we asked for suggestions, the responses were often vague, which made it difficult to know where we should spend our time. Despite these issues, we still had a lovely day on the water and enjoyed the overall experience. My feedback is intended constructively, as a few improvements in communication and expectation-setting would have made a significant difference. We initially expected the trip to cost around €702, but with lunch and fuel, the final cost ended up exceeding €1,200, which was quite a surprise.
