We had an amazing private boat trip around the Pakleni Islands! Our skipper was very friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the trip. He took us to beautiful beaches and hidden coves and gave us complete freedom to decide how long we wanted to spend at each stop. The boat is excellent, with a large area at the bow where you can lie down and enjoy the sun. The seating area at the stern is also very comfortable. The entire experience was well organized and enjoyable. We highly recommend this skipper!

We had an amazing experience and this was honestly one of the best boat rentals I've ever had. Leon was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful from the very beginning. In the morning, he even offered to pick us up wherever was most convenient for us, and he had already prepared a cooler filled with cold drinks before we arrived. He gave us a thorough briefing about the boat, explained everything clearly, and recommended some beautiful places to visit. The restaurant and beach bar he suggested were absolutely fantastic and truly made our trip unforgettable. We ended up spending most of our day there, and it became one of the highlights of our vacation. Leon's friends at the beach were also incredibly kind and helped us with docking and departing the boat, which made everything much easier and stress-free. At the end of the day, Leon even offered us a few rides on the towable sofa, and I highly recommend everyone to try it—it was so much fun! When it was time to return, Leon's colleague guided us to the fuel station, and helped us with refueling and returning the boat. Overall, it was a truly unforgettable day. If I ever come back to Hvar, I will definitely rent a boat from Leon again. Thank you, Leon, for making our trip so special

Best skipper on Hvar! He was the best, told us about the history and stories about the places we passed, took us to places that felt very calm, and some busier places so we got the best of both! Also recommended a very good lunch spot for us with a beautiful view! Very very nice and would book him again in a heartbeat!!!!

Rent a boat with or without skipper

If you decide that you want to rent a larger boat and don’t have a license or just want a worry-free charter experience, rent a boat with a captain! This is a great option if you're not familiar with the area and want to explore Hvar's coastlines with a knowledgeable guide. It's also perfect if you want to enjoy the scenery and not worry about operating the boat. Renting a boat with a captain allows you to sit back and enjoy the ride, without any of the stress or responsibility of driving the boat.

On the other hand, if you are a sailing expert and if you want to rent a boat without skipper, you also can rent a bare boat, but you need to follow some special requirements.

Do I need a boating license?

You might be wondering if you need a boating license for your boat rental in Hvar. The answer depends on a few factors.

In Croatia, boating licenses are required for all motorized boats that are larger than 16 feet and more than 6.8hp. Licenses are also required for non-motorized vessels after a specific size. Regulations and laws are constantly changing, so it’s important to do your research before renting.

It is also important to note that there are strict laws about how far from shore you can sail without a license. We recommend familiarizing yourself with the local boating laws and taking any necessary courses to ensure a safe and enjoyable boating experience.
