We had a fabulous time. We were shown some wonderful spots on both Palma and Palmarola, and since Andrea and Michaela were both divers as well as residents of Ponza, they were intimately knowledgeable with the geography, history and the sea - and they shared it generously. It was the best visit to the islands that we have ever had. Highly recommend!!

We had a great day on Fabio’s boat! The price was very reasonable and we had access to a refrigerator and bathroom on the boat. Plenty of space to sit in the sun or shade. Fabio was professional and focused on us having fun. Would definitely book this boat again!

Great boat. There was a major storm the day we intended on taking the boat. The company allowed us to take the boat the following day instead. They initially said the boat I reserved was already booked and I couldn’t take it, then later changed their minds. Click and Boat has a significant upcharge and they even charge for amenities such as snorkels etc. do not pay for those amenities as they’re free according to the boat rental company. Click and boat has been a bad experience but the boat company itself was reliable and good.

Giovanni is a wonderful captain and his knowledge of Ponza is first class. He knew all the best spots to stop, took us through some amazing places and even prepared us a wonderful Italian lunch in a beautiful setting. Giovanni can be a little slow to respond to messages in the lead up, but the day itself was an incredible experience.

Rent a boat with or without a skipper

Your skipper can adapt the sailing route so that your voyage best suits the desires of you and the rest of your party.

If you would like to take charge of your boat charter in Ponza, then bareboat charters are the way to go. Enjoy a bareboat charter if you have a license and set sail at your own pace. You need a valid boating license to enjoy a boat this way so check with the boat owner beforehand to see that your license is valid.

When is the best time of year to rent a boat?

The best period to go on an exciting boating adventure in Ponza is during the high season, which is from late May through early September. This time of the year is characterized by great weather, featuring average temperatures in the 70s°F. These temperature ranges create the perfect conditions for sailing smoothly and thoroughly enjoying the waters.

For those looking for a quieter experience while still enjoying pleasant weather, the shoulder seasons of April and the months surrounding September to October offer an excellent alternative. During these months, temperatures tend to hover in the low to mid-70s°F range, providing a great atmosphere for sailing and exploring the captivating waterways of Ponza. Remember that weather conditions can vary across different parts of the island, so staying informed about the local forecast is a wise step to ensure you're well-prepared for your adventure.

What type of boat is best for a Ponza boat charter?

Before choosing the right vessel for your boat rental in Ponza, you first have to think about the duration of your holiday. If you’re only going to sail for a few days, it is best to opt for a daily charter such as a motorboat or a RIB. With the speed of these vessels, you’ll be able to see everything on your wish list in no time. If you’re planning a longer charter of a week or more you should choose a vessel that includes amenities you’ll need during your stay. Catamarans and yachts have the space and accommodations on board to ensure a comfortable stay on the water. For a more luxurious holiday, you might consider a gulet, and for an authentic sailing experience a sailboat.

If you’re unsure about whether or not a vessel suits your needs, feel free to contact the boat owners to get a better sense of what is included on board. With our large fleet, you’ll have no problem finding the perfect boat for your Ponza boat charter!
