About the experience

I'm renting this brand new boat from 2024 in Trogir area. Cayman 585 is the best boat to cruise along Croatia's coastline. You can visit several islands on your reach from Trogir! You can either rent the boat for a day with friends and family to enjoye the sea and the boat or for a week if you plan to stay a little bit longer. The boat can fit 8 people on board. It is equipped with a 150 hp engine, agile and steady so you can either navigate for a nice cruise or travel faster to discover a lot of places! It is located in Trogir, so from here you can navigate yourself toward island Čiovo and find many hidden bays there. You can go also visit Blue Lagoon and Island Šolta. Please, keep in mind that fuel is not included in price, tenant takes over the boat with a full tank and returns it with full tank.

You must possess a valid boating permit if you want to rent the boat without a skipper and there is also 500 euro security deposit paid in the harbor.

If you need skipper, price is 100 euro per day paid in the harbor. Boat is insured and all passengers on board to the maximum number of passengers allowed for this boat.

    The owner was very helpfull when leaving and arriving the dock. The boat was perfect for sunbathing and swimming. The marina was also just 20 minutes away from Blue Lagoon. There was no issues what so ever. Would recommend.

    A lovely day touring some of the islands near Trogir. If you've never sailed in the area, Percia's colleague is very helpful. He pointed us in the right direction on a lovely tour, passing through the Blue Lagoon and other coves, with a stop at a magnificent restaurant in Stomorska. We were even lucky enough to watch some dolphins. The boat is well-suited for a day trip. It's perfect for anchoring in the coves. Everything went well except for a small break I made to the engine cover while lifting it. It was already a bit damaged, but according to the owner, I gave it the final blow... the next ones will have a brand new cover ;) Since I hadn't taken out insurance for my deposit, it would have cost me the 400 euros of my deposit if he had used the insurance. Refusing to pay the full amount, we reached an amicable settlement.

    The trip & boat was fabulous! The guide was very helpful and friendly. We got full deposit back. The boat was very clean, well equipped, with full tank, shower with clear water and gps. Engine was powerful much more than needed and very economical. Very recommend!

We couldn't fill up because the gas station was full, but no problem. He calculated the fuel consumption on the spot (fuel consumption times the price) and deducted it from the deposit.     The boat is fantastic. We rented the boat for a week from Perica. The size of the boat was absolutely sufficient for three people. The 150 hp Yamaha engine had enough power for this size boat, while being relatively fuel-efficient at normal cruising speed (22-25 kts). The only thing we noticed, but not a big deal, was two minor errors in the boat specifications: there is no bow thruster or electric anchor winch. The parking solution, very close to the boat, is also great. After a day on the water, you can easily stroll into the town center of Trogir (about a 3-minute walk) and leave the car in the parking lot. The owner, Perica, is very friendly, polite, and fair. The price is also OK. We would rent from Perica again anytime. THANK YOU

    We’re not the most confident when it comes to docking and undocking a boat, but the incredibly friendly instructor helped us out so well. Thanks to his support, everything went smoothly, and the boat worked perfectly without any issues. There were no problems with the deposit either, and we felt well taken care of from the very beginning. The boat itself was great – we had plenty of space for the two of us and really enjoyed our time on the water.☺️

Perica's colleague, Miše, was waiting for us there. The boat looks very new and well-maintained, and the 150 hp helps it move quickly through the water.     Unfortunately, we had a bad experience. We had a minor damage to the propeller, and it turned out that the boats have no insurance for such cases. Initially, the owner wanted €1000 from us. In the end, after a knowledgeable person intervened, we agreed on €350. The rental contract states that minor damages are covered by the deposit, and anything beyond that is insured. However, the owner’s response was: “Different country, different customs… we have to pay for everything.”

    We had such an amazing day on Perica's boat! We were 7 people and we fit super comfortably, our skipper left the day entirely up to us, of where we wanted to go, whilst giving recommendations of his favourite swimming/snorkelling spots as well as islands where we got off the boat to get lunch. Perica kept in constant communication with me, and so it was easy to ask any questions we had and locate the boat on the day. Overall, we had so much fun and could not recommend enough!
