Great experience exploring Corfu and the surrounding islands. The best visit was to the island of Othonoi where we found an amazing sunset spot and Calypso cave+beach.

We had a 2 week sailing holiday starting from Gouvia Marina in Corfu down to the southern Ionian and back. We know Corfu very well and visited the old town and Palaiokastritsa and also had drinks in a Taverna above Nisaki with a spectacular view. Sailingwise, we visited Plataria, Paxos (3 days in Gaios due to strong winds) then on to Lefkafa where we anchored off Nikiana and Scorpios, lunch stop in Port Athene on Meganissi, moored on Kastos and in Sami on Kefalonia, then after a brunch stop in Euphemia, we sailed back to Lefkada where we moored in Sivota. On our way back we moored in Mongonissi on Paxos and sailed down the west coast of Paxos where we visited the spectacular caves. We then sailed back to Corfu where we anchored off Pontikonissi island fir a swim and lunch before sailing back to Gouvia where we spent our last 2 nights while exploring Corfu.

A fantastic few days with Riccardo and his son on his Beneteau 60. The boat is beautiful and very comfortable with great space for us all We were lucky to have great wind for sailing, with stopping in beautiful bays for snorkelling and swimming and some great restaurant recommendations from Riccardo for our stops in Syvota and Gaios Riccardo is the most welcoming of skippers, with a relaxed and friendly approach, full of interesting stories reflecting his extensive experience in sailing, as well as teaching us how to cook proper Italian carbonara ! We feel very lucky to have shared these few days of sailing with Riccardo and his son and would recommend to everyone

Rent a boat in Corfu, with or without a skipper?

If you’re considering a boat rental in Corfu, Click&Boat has a large fleet of vessels ready for charter. For licenced individuals who like to be the captain of their own vessel, we have plenty of bareboat charters to choose from. However, if you want you don’t have a licence to sail, or you prefer a more relaxing holiday, we recommend chartering a skippered vessel. It’s true that having a skipper on board is typically more expensive, but the extra cost is worth it!

Skippers are your guides both on and off the water. They will take you to see all the places on your travel itinerary, and give you recommendations about other attractions that most tourists won’t know about. Skippers provide a more all-inclusive atmosphere, and together you can customise your sailing adventure. For a unique experience on the water, rent a boat with a skipper in Corfu!

What type of boat is best for a Corfu yacht charter?

It can be hard to choose the right boat for your charter destination, but luckily we are here to help. The amount of time you plan to spend on board will influence the type of boat you choose. If you only want to sail for a weekend, we recommend a daily charter like a motorboat, which will help you get to where you’re going in no time.

For a week rental, you should opt for a bigger, more comfortable vessel with all the necessary amenities to serve your every need, such as a catamaran or even a sailboat, but we advise you to have sailing experience for it.
