We recently visited Rhodes as a group of nine and had a really enjoyable stay overall. We were based in Ixia at an all-inclusive hotel, which was a great base for both relaxing and exploring the island. During our trip, we spent a day exploring Rhodes Town, which was full of character, history, and plenty to see. We also enjoyed a fantastic day out on a boat, which was a real highlight of the holiday. Most of our group also took a trip to Lindos to visit the famous Acropolis of Lindos. It was absolutely worth seeing for the views and history, but it’s worth noting that Lindos isn’t very wheelchair accessible due to steep paths and uneven surfaces. Because of this, a few members of our group chose to stay back at the hotel and relax instead. One member of our group was using a wheelchair and crutches while recovering from surgery, and overall we found Rhodes to be fairly wheelchair-friendly, especially in more modern or developed areas. The main challenge was the cobbled streets, particularly in older parts like Rhodes Town, where they had to walk carefully instead. All in all, Rhodes offers a great mix of relaxation, history, and activities. It worked well for a group with different needs and interests, and we’d definitely recommend it as a holiday destination.

I had an incredible experience on this boat tour in Rhodes! The crew was super friendly and welcoming, and they made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the trip. We visited several beautiful bays with crystal-clear water, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The boat itself was clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. I especially loved the stunning views of the coastline and the delicious lunch served on board. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rhodes!

Rhodes was my favorite stop in the Greek Islands both bc we rented the private boat, and also because the old town is incredible.

Mallorca impressed us a bit more, but Rhodes is also great! Loved the day on the water — totally worth it!

Ioannis was absolutely amazing. Gave us full access to the whole boat. Was so welcoming and had delicious drinks and fruit for us. He is a great character and the whole experience was the highlight of our trip. He made us feel very special. We thought this sort of private experiemce might have been out of our budget but the value for money was fantastic. The sunset cruise for me and my girlfriend was absolutely stunning with a gorgeous swim stop. We even seen dolphins on the way back just before the sunset. Amazing. It was the perfect evening. Thank you Ioannis.

Such an amazing experience hiring a self-drive boat in Rhodes! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. We even arrived 20 minutes late and they were still so understanding and helpful, which we really appreciated. A huge thank you to Maria who taught my boyfriend how to drive the boat before we left. She was absolutely lovely — calm, professional, and explained everything so clearly which made us both feel really comfortable and confident. She made the whole experience feel fun and stress-free. The boat itself was perfect, the views were unreal, and it ended up being one of the best parts of our holiday. You can really tell the team care about their customers and want everyone to have a great time. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Catamaran charter in Rhodes

Often mentioned in the legends and myths of ancient Greece, Rhodes is famous for its picturesque beaches with crystal clear waters, unforgettable parties and vibrant nightlife, perfect locations for your Instagram snaps and holiday resorts that are perfect for the dream honeymoon... there is something for everyone in Rhodes.

Chartering a catamaran in Rhodes will allow you to explore the islands 220km of coastline properly as well as allowing you to travel to the nearby islands of Symi, Kos and Tilos. You can see the grand harbours and the secluded coves, the crowded ports and the beaches where no tourist has set foot. And of course, renting a catamaran can give you scenic views of famous Greek resorts from the water. Feeling adventurous? You can visit a number of small, sometimes uninhabited islands and feel like a true explorer.

Charter a Catamaran in Rhodes

So why choose a catamaran over a motorboat or yacht? Catamarans, due to their duel-hull design, are generally a much more stable ride than a sailboat or other mono-hull boat. This means that your adventure onboard a catamaran can be much more relaxing and laid back. Catamarans are perfect for familes or couples that want to celebrate a special occassion. Catamarans can also typically sleep more people - they usually have space for 8 to 12 people whereas a smaller sailboat or motorboat may only accommodate around 4. Whilst on a catamaran, you can spend more time sun-bathing, have a dip into the crystal clear waters surrounding Rhodes and make friends with the local sea-life whilst snorkelling. You can rent a catamaran with or without a captain. If you have experience with catamarans and have the relevant licences then be your own captain and take your own route. When you rent a catamaran with a captain, they are not just your captain. They are also usually somebody with a local expertise who can take you to the perfect snorkelling spots, litte-known beaches and they will also keep you safe!

How much does it cost to charter a catamaran in Rhodes?

Like most boat rentals, the price of your charter depends on the time of year, the duration of your charter and the size, age and model of the catamaran you charter. If you are renting your catamaran in the summer, during the high season, it will be more expensive than in the low season. But of course, the weather will then be at its best. If you charter your catamaran during the low season, the weather will be colder and it is unlikely that you will be able to spend time sunbathing and the seas will also be cooler. However, the streets will be a lot quieter, the beaches more empty and the price of your charter much lower. During the high season, in August, you can expect to pay from 5,600€ for a catamaran that sleeps up to 10 people for a week. That comes down to around 560€ per person per week. That is the beauty of chartering a catamaran for a group - the price is split between you and can often result in a great price for such an experience at sea. To charter a boat in the low season, the same catamaran would only cost you 2,710€ per week. That means only 271€ per person for a week, or less than €40 per person per day. Of course, these prices are just a guide and so you can expect them to be more expensive if you are chartering a larger or more luxurious catamaran and to be slightly cheaper if you a chartering a smaller one. With Click&Boat, you can talk to one of our personal advisors who will listen to your requirements and find you the perfect boat for the best price.

What to do on your catamaran charter in Rhodes?

Charter a catamaran in Rhodes and enjoy the thrills of sailing, exploring the Aegean sea and discovering Greece. After setting sail from Rhodes, the city of the same name in the north of the island, sail around the island, passing Lindos in the east and heading westwards, towards Monolithos village. You can also cruise the Dodecanese archipelago, which consists of about 160 islands and islets that offer excellent anchorage and many beaches for relaxing in the sun. You can also sail to the islands of Kos or Crete, or simply head off the Greek coast.

Of course the city of Rhodes is a must-see. In the old town you can discover the medieval town and its fortification walls, as well as visit the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, an ancient fortress transformed into a museum of Byzantine history. Also take the opportunity to visit the archaeological museum of the city and the Acropolis of Rhodes, which belongs to Ancient Greece. In short, if you can't get enough of the ancient monuments, obscured by history and mystery, you'll certainly find Rhodes to your liking!

In Lindos, on the island's east coast, you can stroll through the picturesque streets of a small village and admire the houses with their white facades reminiscent of the legendary Santorini houses. In Kolymbia you can see the Tsambika Monastery and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the town, the sea and nature beyond our eyes. If you want to relax by the water, Rhodes Island is the ideal place to stay, with its many beaches and coves along the coastline of 220 km. Enjoy the beaches of Agios Pavlos in Lindos, Agathi, near the village of Haraki, Anthony Quinn Bay, or the seaside resorts of Faliraki and Kyotari.
