It was good to have another [our 2nd] day with Giles on board Tahiti Ketch and will do again. The first few hours out of Canet-en-Roussillon were spent in a force 4 with no discomfort. Late in the afternoon we anchored of Barcares for a swim / snorkel.
Giles is a very nice man, a good Captain very knowledgeable and I hope to sail with him again.
In a word: wonderful!
To avoid !!! 2-day rental from 9:30 a.m. on Friday until Sunday 9:30 a.m. Previously, having a doubt about the weather, lack of wind over the weekend, the owner offered me a studio just in case, which I accepted in case of impossibility to sail. When the day came, the owner called at noon to announce that he would be late and would arrive around 2 p.m. He arrived after 3:00 p.m. to clean his apartment (not very luxurious)!!! It was windy that afternoon. No wind the following days, and we managed to see the boat, which was not ready, on Sunday morning to sail for less than an hour and where the engine broke down! We returned to port towed by another boat. The most distressing: although I complained several times on the site, it was necessary to provide proof of everything, despite this, the owner did not recognize anything and therefore there was no damage. It's not the first time I've rented through this site, but it's the first time it's been like this… a disaster… finally the boat could have sunk and we would have had to return to the swim it's true. In short, avoid...
Everything went very well, we had a great time. In addition, Gilles is very nice. We learned to navigate. It was just perfect. I highly recommend and have fun!
