Phuket is a southern province of Thailand. It consists of Phuket Island, the largest island in the country, and 32 other smaller islands off its coast. It sits off the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. Phuket Island is connected by Sarasin Bridge to Phang Nga Province to the north. The next nearest province is Krabi, to the east across Phang Nga Bay.

Phuket Province has an area of 576 km2 (222 sq mi) and is the second-smallest province of Thailand. The island was on a major trading route between India and China. It was frequently mentioned in foreign ships' logs of Portuguese, French, Dutch, and English traders, but was never colonized by a European power. It formerly derived its wealth from tin and rubber and now from tourism.

Thailand is an exotic destination worth visiting if you want to sail off the beaten track. Phuket is one of the country's most famous beautiful islands and has served as a filming location for several Hollywood movies. Home to many sandy beaches and bays of unspoilt natural beauty, this exotic place lends itself to an unforgettable island-hopping trip with a catamaran charter in Phuket, as it's part of an archipelago of several islands and islets that you can explore if you charter a catamaran in Phuket.

Rent a catamaran in Phuket from £ 400 per day up to £ 2500 per day for luxury catamaran charter. A catamaran charter can be perfect for small groups of 4 or couples right up to larger groups of 14 depending on the size of your charter. With Click & Boat you can receive your own personal advisor who will help you find the perfect catamaran charter for your holiday that suits all your requirements and fits within your budget.

Explore the island of Phuket

With a catamaran charter in Phuket you can visit Phang Nga Bay and admire its famous limestone cliffs, featured in several movies such as James Bond and Bridget Jones. A selfie with these landmarks of breathtaking beauty in the background will be the ideal souvenir from your trip in Thailand. With a catamaran charter in Phuket you can also visit the Phi Phi Islands where the film 'The Beach', starring Leonardo Di Caprio, was shot. If you charter a catamaran in Phuket you will be able to avoid the crowds of tourists flocking to this popular destination between early autumn and late spring and explore the islands at your own pace. You may also have the opportunity to practice your diving and snorkeling skills, as the islands are home to a rich marine life.

When is the best time to visit Phuket, Thailand?

Although Phuket is warm all year round with average temperatures not dropping below 22C, many consider November to February to be the best months to visit when the weather is dry and sunny. The wet season runs from May to Otcober when monsoons bring more rainfall and higher humidity. Of course the low season also means lower prices and the high season means more expensive flights and catamaran charter prices but the beautiful weather and once in a life-time experiences this island has to offer make any price tag worth it.

Where to visit on your Catamaran charter Phuket, Thailand?

With there being countless idillic islands and islets in this exquisite corner of the earth you can leave Phuket on your catamaran charter to visit many other gems that Thailand has to offer. On the south of Thailand, departing from Phuket Island, you can sail in the Andaman Sea, and visit its beautiful islands: Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phanak, Koh Hong or Koh Hae. In Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, immense buildings and splendid temples stand side by side. The Grand Palace is a must, as well as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaeo), located not far from the Palace. The Wat Pho, Wat Saket and Wat Arun temples, located opposite the Chao Phraya River, are also worth seeing. Outside the city, you can go to the floating market Damnoen Saduak. There is a reason Thailand is known as "Land of Smiles". The locals are some of the friendliest and most hospitable people in the world.

Phuket is a very easy to reach location to start a nice trip. Many flights available and a short drive to the harbour. Prior to departure we determined the route together based on our preferences, which always very nice. We went to sail to smaller islands in the area which was lovely!
