About the experience
Enjoy an unhurried and immersive 4-hour sailing experience that reveals the most iconic landmarks and scenic corners of Lisbon from the calm waters of the Tagus River. This extended journey invites you to embrace the rhythm of the water while discovering the heart and soul of Portugal’s capital from a new perspective.
Departing from the central Doca de Alcântara marina, you’ll sail along Lisbon’s storied riverside, passing the grand arches of Commerce Square, the striking Lisbon Cathedral, and the winding lanes of Alfama. The striking dome of the National Pantheon stands tall as a reminder of the city’s deep-rooted heritage. As the boat glides by the southern riverbank, you’ll spot the relaxed Ginjal area and the imposing Christ the King statue towering above the cliffs.
Cruising beneath the dramatic 25th April Bridge, you’ll continue toward the cultural richness of Belém, where the MAAT museum, Discoveries Monument, and the centuries-old Belém Tower line the shore like sentinels of Portugal’s Age of Exploration.
With the luxury of time, the tour can flex depending on weather and tides—perhaps steering farther west toward the meeting point of the Tagus River and Atlantic Ocean, or including segments of the sunset itinerary if conditions allow. Calm waters may also offer the chance to anchor briefly for a refreshing swim, providing the perfect pause in your sailing adventure.
Whether you're celebrating, relaxing, or simply exploring, this extended cruise allows you to experience Lisbon at a more leisurely pace—with more views, more sailing, and more of the river’s magic.
Other durations are possible but require contact. Itineraries can be customized upon request. Bigger boats are available on request for groups of up to 18 people.
