About the experience

Tommy the Gozzo is based in Otranto and is available for both half-day and full-day trips. It is 6.8m long and can carry up to 7 passengers plus the skipper.

A day boat trip along the Adriatic coast is a must if you want to really enjoy the beauty of Salento, especially because there are so many beaches that are accessible only from the sea with a boat/yacht, and not from the land. Otranto is a historic seaside town and port on the Adriatic coast of southern Italy, in the region of Puglia. The coastline outside Otranto is renowned for its beauty, and there are more stretches of popular beaches to both the north and south.

Half-day charters

Option 1

Departure from and return to Otranto heading south stopping off for swimming at/seeing some of the following:

Baia delle Orte, a lovely bay
Punta Palascia and Capo d'Otranto, Italy's easternmost point
Torre Sant'Emiliano, one of the old watchtowers that line the coast
Laghi Almini, a marine nature reserve, comprising two lakes connected to the sea
Option 2

Departure from and return to Otranto heading north stopping off for swimming at/seeing some of the following:

Grotta della Monaca, a sea grotto
Baia Morrone, a lovely bay
Baia dei Turchi, another bay where the Turkish landed in 1483
Porto Badisco, a beach said to have been the arrival point of Aeneas in Italy after leaving Carthage

Duration: approx. 10.00am - 2.00pm or 2.00 pm - 06.00 p.m.

We had an amazing experience with our boat tour! The skipper was super friendly and gave us a 5-star service. The boat was clean, comfortable and really beautiful. We visited breathtaking places, starting from Otranto and continuing towards Mulino dell'Acqua Viva, Porto Morrone and finally Baia dei Turchi. Each stop was a real spectacle. I highly recommend this tour and I thank the skipper from the bottom of my heart for his professionalism and kindness. An experience to repeat!

We had an excellent experience but not in Tommaso’s boat. There was a problem with the skipper that didn’t show up but Tommaso made sure we could make our boat trip anyway.
